Before this post is to be read, a word of warning: Angry ranting is to follow.

lol, my ENTIRE computer costs..... let me think.... 250 bucks..... runs nearly all the games. You don't need alot of money to run most modern games well. Two, if your so shallow to base your enjoyment of a game off graphics... then i cant say much...
What the
bloody hell are you talking about? I said NOTHING about graphical quality in any of that aside from a short comment on resolutions. And honestly, I think a SMALLER desk would be optimal, as this one has too much extra shit on it so that it leaves, like I said, little room in the 'keyboard and mouse' spot for the mouse.
As for "pushing the hardware too much," that's EXACTLY MY FUCKING POINT. You don't HAVE to worry about "pushing the hardware too much" on a console game because if you're running an Xbox game on an Xbox, you know it's going to work because it's made for YOUR Xbox, just like everyone else's Xbox.
As for conditions for the house, AGAIN, that's my point. It doesn't matter even if I'm living in the most ghetto house ever. If I have a proper power supply and cables, and the equipment for consoles I just mentioned (that is, TV, console, controller) I can still play Metal Gear Solid in all its cinematic glory, whereas I'd be completely fucked for being able to play Crysis, because there would be no way I'd be able to figure out a proper
control setup. That's right. I said control. I remember this entire THREAD being about console vs. PC controls, and that's what I based my previous post on.
And please tell me what the hell you're talking about with CRTs not being able to display a 480i resolution. My TV IS an old CRT, and because of that the only resolution that works IS 480i. Also, I'm pretty sure the big glorious plasma TV in the Best Buy produces clearer images than my CRT.
Also, the decent video cards cost $200, and a monitor costs $300. Not even counting anything else, that's $500, something I could EASILY get an Xbox 360, a year of Live, and probably a few games with. Again, games that would run on the Xbox without issue. Apparently YOU need to do YOUR research.
Yes I'm being a bit hot-headed about this. I'm quite aware of that, but I find it offensive that you have the gall to say I have "stupid assumptions," claim that I'm "so shallow to base my enjoyment off graphics" (My favorite Wii games all happen to be the downloadable SNES and Genesis titles), and yet, despite your apparent "greater experience" with PCs (judging from all the technobabble you threw into your post, and your claims of why I'm just wrong), you fail to get your facts straight and don't even use proper English?
Fun facts: Generally, the human eye SEES THINGS at a rate between 60 Hz and 75 Hz. Please tell me why, for any god forsaken reason, you would need something that refreshes at
200 Hz. And just to quash your arguments further, my PC
is set to a refresh rate at 75 Hz on an LCD monitor.
(For those confused, Hertz (or Hz) refers to the number of occurrences per second. In the case of eyesight or display refresh rate, this is identical to "frames per second." For gameplay rendering it can vary, due to lag.)
This is why I absolutely hate discussions like this, and why I am even bothering to post not once, but twice, now that you've pissed me off. I say a few things why I dislike PC gaming (I HARDLY said all the reasons), and I get told off about why I'm wrong, regardless of the main point, regardless of what the situation is. Forums, chat rooms, or even REAL FUCKING LIFE. And if you still don't get it, I'm going to say it plain and simple. My main reason for not liking PC games, and being bad at them, is because I find the mouse to be TOO FUCKING FINICKY, even if I have all the mouse room in the goddamn world and the mouse sensitivity is set to 'extremely low.' Are we clear yet?
