Poll: Do you drink while playing games?

I being a fellow alcoholic am frequently intoxicated while indulging in the visual feast of video games! Do you drink and game? If so how far do you plunge your liver into anarchy? What is your behaviour? I myself drink a few to get amped for FPS's and then stick to the energy drinks. If Im rpging I love to get pretty plastered and enjoy the ride.

What do you drink? Converse and long live alcohol (irony)

When I'm drinking with my buddies we'll often end up playing video games. For some reason it always ends up being Crash Team Racing, I have no idea why.

My skill at console shooting games (not PC for whatever reason) skyrockets while I'm drinking. I avoid RPG's since I don't want to miss out on the story, and I get piss poor at a lot of other games, but it's still fun.

used to back in the punk years but I realize that I didn't much care for the taste of alcohol and the whole dizzy sensation and potential hangover was not worth dropping that crap down my gullet. Since then I just don't really drink anymore for anything.

Who takes gaming that seriously that it could be impaired by drinking?
Me and mates have made tonnes of drinking games involving video games, i.e, halo, smash bros etc..
Drinking + Video games = massive fun.

I have a couple of drinks while gaming sometimes.

Gaming gets really frustrating when you're really getting smashed. But at that point its a lot of fun watching others play and talking smack.

Corroded:
You get more instinctive/impulsive with your first few drinks, leading to your reaction speed going up. After a few more your dexterity goes down do so your reactions drop drastically.

FPS is mostly about the twitch reactions so drinking helps. Driving games is about keeping that one straight path so drinking doesn't help a jot.

Life is too short to not play video games with a glass of Tennessee's finest. I prefer the Wii for drunk gaming, been playing a lot of Orbient recently.

I don't smoke or drink ever... but i have seen many friends who drink or smoked while gaming...

One of my old buddies played CS better while drinking, A friend of mine healed better on WoW when he was stoned out of his mind, and I've heard many stories of friends who drink and smoke while gaming only to do better in their performance.


I think smoking and drinking would hinder my gaming so i don't do it but thats just a personal choice. As a closing statement. Weed and Alcohol, the gaming equivalent to Steroids and sports!
