Yes, but only about once every 2 weeks...
I some times don't have time to cook for myself.

I'd much rather go to Burger King, but the nearest one is about 5 miles

McDonald's is like the fat friend that attractive women bring with them to the bar. You're wasted, and you don't know any better, so you decide to go for it. To be blunt.

Oh geez, I remember that cereal. I didn't realize they got rid of it. We still have Recess Puffs though:

Om nom nom.
I burn through about one of those a day.

Still feels strange buying kids cereal for yourself as an adult.

OH WAIT! Remember the smartest thing Capt Crunch ever did?

Jesus. Looking through all these old discontinued cereals is making me feel depressed.

Very rarely, its been months since I've been to McDonalds and I intend to make that the last time ever. The smell of theburger grease is a tough one to wash out.

Oh! Sorry for the gender confusion, I didn't know! Didn't think to check your profile...

Anyway, as for the documentary itself, I always figured it was either for publicity or simply a weak public statement that is already common knowledge: Fast food isn't healthy, you shouldn't base a diet completely off of it! Or at least, you shouldn't, then complain about it (Yes, I do happen to make a diet completely off of it, but my saying is 'Better dead young and happy, with a full stomach of damn good stuff, than dead old and unsatisfied with a half-empty stomach filled with utterly tasteless crap.').

As for the prospect being unappetizing to you, thats perfectly understandable. Everyone has different tastes, and hell, some tastes you just acquire over time. Thats one of the best things about the world is having a very wide array of different foods.

And when it comes to fat people blaming companies such as McDonalds for their obesity, even though THEY were the ones who CHOSE to eat there, it just seems ass-backwards. A (very) loose metaphor: You happen to be the owner of a handgun. You rarely ever use it, and only at a firing range. You decide to clean it at home, but forget to put on the safety and unload it. Inevitably, due to sheer stupidity, you end up shooting yourself, say, in the leg. And then, you exclaim, "OW! I'M GOING TO SUE SMITH AND WESSON!" (Feel free to substitute a better firearm manufacturer if you wish, and please, don't feel that this is directed at you! This is simply a (again, very) loose metaphor. Not meant to be offensive, simply informative.)

Since I've already made a wall of text, I might as well apologize again for the gender confusion! I'm very sorry!

I don't eat fast food other than a local pita place (so good, also healthy) and subway (also healthy). Fast food makes mt sick in ways you don't want me to describe here.

Not as often as I did before the move. Since I moved down south I've actually started eating a lot of Sonic. I like McDonald's though.

It's funny, I first watched Supersize Me while I was WORKING at McDonalds. Not too terribly long after that, I quit.

You think Supersize Me was bad, try actually WORKING at a McDonalds. I will never, ever, ever, eat there again.

Doesn't stop me from eating at other fast food places, however.

Thanks for all your replies. It was never the weight thing that stopped me eating at McDonalds. It was the Chicken McNuggets.

Now I know McDonalds now claim they don't use meat like this any more, but I don't care because (a) they once did and fed it to me, and (b) at their prices they must be doing something similar.
I hope you don't eat hotdogs.
No, thank goodness. I'm pretty sure the title 'hotdog' is not really a misnomer.

Rarely, if ever. No, it's not because of Super-size Me. It's actually because once upon a time, I used to be a fuckin' huge kid and I ate a ton of McDonald's. I lost a lot of weight since then, and I practice stuff in moderation. Same goes for fast food.

Not all the time, mainly because actually getting there requires catching a few buses or scoring a lift with one of my mates and it's not worth the hassle, but when we do venture to the golden arches I eat. Everything.

A few years ago a lot of McDonalds food issues were exposed through the documentary Supersize Me. After that McDonalds took a huge hit in business, but since then they've slowly recovered. So. do you still eat it?

As for me, I stopped eating it maybe 8 eight years ago but if I'm in a foreign country I will occasionally still eat fries or an apple pie because I know what I'm getting. (I swore off their 'meat' for life).
Actually, I heard that business increased for McDonalds as a result of that film. Mind you, that's probably because it forced McDonalds to change their menu a bit and introduce more healthy options.

I don't eat the stuff personally, not even the so-called "healthy" McCafe items. I stopped eating food like that when I was 18, I'm now 37 and I still don't eat it. I used to love it when I was younger and have fond memories of my parents taking me to McDonals when I was a kid, but once I grew up it's like I woke up one day, bit into one of their burgers and something in my brain suddenly went "actually, I'm eating shit, this tastes awful". I'll never eat it again, if I'm on foot and McDonalds is the only restaurant that's close and open I'll happily walk for over an hour to find something else to eat.

Same goes for KFC, Burger King/JHungry Jacks, etc. I will eat pizza but not if it's from a pizza chain, only if it's from a local pizza place that uses fresh ingredients. That's about as fast-food as I get, and it's probably why at 37 years of age I'm not overweight even though I do fuck-all exercise.

Yeah, I love McDonalds. I think food issues are purely chance. Just because you found that a burger made you sick, doesn't mean that the thousands of other branches across the world will have the same problem. The McDonald's administration is excellent in every way. They have really taken huge strides in making their food better for you. But at the end of the day, yes they are still burgers, yes they are still quite bad for you, it's fast food. Gain a brain stem and realize that having a McDonald's is a treat that should only be enjoyed from time to time.

Also, for the people that sue McDonald's for making them fat. Die, now. It's your fault you're fat, not McDonald's. So please, die. Natural selection works in mysterious ways. And if you're too dense to not realize that eating McDonald's daily may make you a bit tubby, maybe you shouldn't pass on yo' seed.

Once in a Blue moon, and when I do I will only grab a burger as I cannot stand their salts, I mean chips.

If I do opt for some form of fast food, I'd pick Subway or KFC.

I can't actually remember the last time I went into a McDonald's. So no, I don't eat there. I do remember going there a lot when I was younger as a treat and I used to get breakfast there back when I was doing early morning stuff on Saturdays as it was conveniant, but my family stopped doing both eventually and found alternatives.

As for the other fast food joints, I have only eaten in KFC once ever for a friend's birthday at least six years ago and the last/ possibly only time I have ever eaten in Burger King was two years ago in Germany, and I just found it disgusting. I couldn't even finish the damn thing and threw it away whilst drinking the Coke I bought with it to wash out the taste. Subway and Dominoes are the only ones I go anywhere near nowadays, and those are still very rare to the point that I haven't bought anything from either of those for about three months.
