The only time I glitch is when I'm having fun with some friends in a private match. Anywhere else, no.

In single player then I may do if it's not intended. If I know it's there then I won't use it, but if it's an accident then I'll take the advantage given. For example, when playing Kingdom Hearts recently, when fighting Captain Hook, I stumbled onto a glitch where Hook just stayed in one spot spinning all the time and not doing anything, similar to the Goldeeye glitch. I was therefore able to pummel him completely with no health loss or anything. Epic win.

In multiplayer, however, then using any type of glitch is cheating and should be an instant ban from the server. I hate people who glitch or cheat in any way on multiplayer, it just ruins the fun for everyone else...

Glitching in a single-player game is okay, but we all know there's really no debate about that. Glitching in multiplayer, however, is an amazing display of selfishness and blatant disregard for the experience of others. Put simply, it's first-class douchebaggery and is evidence of crappy character.

Why are all but one of those options basically "yes?"

OT: For fun with people who know I'm kidding? Yes. When actually playing the game? No.

If the game allows it, I'm fine with it. I had a bunch of weightless daedric weapons from exploiting a glitch in Oblivion.

PS, I never play MP, so no worries.

No not really, its wrong in multiplayer and usually just cuts down time in single player. If I bought a game, why would I want to beat it faster and not enjoy it for as long?

If I can find something to do in single player that makes things a bit easier, or for instance a weakness in the game's economy I can exploit for lots of money (usually RPGs) I'll do it.
I never do anything in multiplayer except use my skills.

I did the infinite combo glitch in Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 on Rio de Janiero where you get clipped into a wall and just keep doing tricks.

I also once got a signature takedown in crash mode on Burnout 3 and a few accidental glitches in other games that i don't really remember what happened

I think I fall into option 5.

If a goal ahead of me is achievable equally via timesinking or glitching (and providing the route has been exhausted of fun), I'll glitch to be able to reap the rewards.
I exploited a glitch in a psp RPG called PopoLocrois.
This girl gives you a healing leaf before you enter a dungeon, then you exit, and can get another, and another, and another. I now have 99

It don't understand the poll... damn, cant you put something like ''yes, I'll exploit them all'' , ''sometimes'', ''only single player'', ''only mutiplayer'' e.t.c.
I always exploit glitches. How can i not to? If you could win by doing something simple would you not do it? If you were Paris Hilton, would you not exploit the ''people are idiots and make you famous for no reason at all, while give you a lot of money for photo shots that look awful'' glitch?
