Under what circumstances do you grief? I'm talking about teamkilling, being useless, and helping the enemy. This does not include doing random crap like using a crappy weapon because it's funner to use than other guns, (I consider that griefing but I'm leaving it out of this conversation), roleplaying, cheap tactics, and spamming messages in text or through the mic.

And because several people will ask about it: Griefing is where a player forsakes the general rules and screws around, almost always at the expense of his team.

at my last all night gaming session I had a friend there that wanted us to join a game of L4D and grief.
I didn't.
I don't grief.

When I attempted to grief a non-HLDJ server in a source mod with my friend by playing music nobody cared, after that I kinda gave up.

Only if the other team is awesome or they hate me. Which is actually quite often.

Only really in TF2. I normally just eat the sandvich over and over again or start engie dancing if someone is playing music.

I don't.
It's pure jackassery to simply fuck around and try to piss other people off online.
That's what 4chan is for.

Now, if it was a server that everyone was griefing in, I wouldn't have a problem, because everyone there decided they wanted to screw around.
But in regular servers, it does bug me.

I don;t grief because if I did, I would either lose points, make myself look like an ass, and/or get kicked.

I have been the victim of several griefers, though. Once, in Battlefield: Bad Company, someone in my squad would spawn on use and shotgun each person in the back. Another person, this time in MAG, got on a helicopter's chaingun and started wasting people as they passed.

I don't see why people do this.

Y'see, I don't get off on being a jerk. :0 I'm happier when I'm nice.

I tend to think griefers are bored little (usually U.S.) kids or drunks. I'm neither, so I don't grief.

I only grief if I've been griefed or the games is pratically over and there' no chance of winning/losing.
