Does tea-bagging count?
No, that would go under trolling unless you do it instead of playing the game.
Hmmm. Ok.

It's a recent phase I'm going through I'm ashamed to say; before I used to jump (or dance as I liked to pretend) and burst off a round like a redneck if my team won. Then I used to find something really high and jump off so that I'd be halfway to the ground when the game would restart (a mis-timed jump = suicide which means less points).

Now it's tea bagging. And it's good.

I don't grief, ever. I'ver experienced griefing a few times, and when I found out what it was among my many reactions (alongside, 'why ruin it for people') was, 'boy, I'm never going to do that.'

Only if I'm REALLY bored and want to hear children cry, or when some person annoys the crap out of me.

roleplaying

how is roleplaying considered griefing?

I would really like to hear how you consider it a grief tactic.

as for me, I do it for the lulz. Sometimes the game gets boring and the only way to get enjoyment is hearing your team give you death threats to your mother after you blow them up for the tenth time [CoD 4, martyrdom, Sonic Boom, Rpg], to simply people litterally crying for you to stop [GTA IV Free Roam], I do it because Im bored, and I dont play games to be bored.
It doesn't always help your team as much as you could otherwise, and the chat messages could irritate your team. An example would be when I pretend I'm a pirate, run to the enemy base in Halo 3, steal a few weapons, and run back to my base. It doesn't really accomplish anything, but it's fun/funny as hell.

I only grief when I'm playing with friends in matches that aren't ranked, and even then only because we think it's fun to randomly kill each other.

I think that people who grief in matches with people they don't even know just to be annoying are jerks.

I'll do it when I believe my team deserves it.

Or because I'm horribly bored.

When me and my friends are screwing around, and then it's funny for everyone, or else we'd stop. So I don't know if that necessarily counts as griefing, but I voted the friends option anyway.

I'm willing to do it when I'm around friends and they're doing it too, but otherwise... no.

It achieves nothing other then annoying everyone else, and it's just stupid. Even the imaginative griefing is just worthless and irritating.

Neva! Griefers are about 30% of why I don't mic or even playing all that much on XBL, and why I avoid most MMOs.

Once in combat arms I got bored and just ran up to people and aimed the heartbeat detector at them.
