Poll: do you hate Americans?

I only hate the Americans that call in to me only to ***** for 10 minutes on how I personally am ruining America, tell me how stupid and greedy I am and then asked to be transferred to a supervisor or they will sue me for all my Canadian ass is worth.

But that's only happened once so far, so yeah, I guess I can say Americans are OK.

That's stupid, how can you judge an ENTIRE countries worth of people from the few you have met or just heard about?

We are not all robots who are programmed to act exactly the same, eating ridiculous amounts of cheeseburgers, using automatic weapons to hunt squirrels, saying that everything we do is Gods will, blaming everything we do wrong on other countries, or hating everyone from any place that is not America.

It's just like how not all British people have bad teeth, or how not all Canadian people say 'Eh?' at the end of every sentence, or how not all people from the Middle East are crazy suicide bombers.

I don't hate Americans (being that I am one), but I have strong loathing for people as a whole. But I do hate people that start asinine threads as these to possibly their post counts up.

But hating on a specific country or nationality without really coming into contact with everyone in those demographics makes you simply ignorant. Having blanket ideals over anything makes you nothing more than a tool.

I don't hate Americans in general, though, Mexicans make great food and South America has awesome carnivals. And I'd love to go skiing in Canada.

I can tell you, however, that the overly patriotic and nationalistic manner as well as a lack of enlightenment in terms of religion piss me off.

actually, i have noticed the people that fling insults like crazed chimps fling poo are from the southern states, judging by their accent, a lot of the people in those states, well, they are a little xenophobic and/or very very stupid.
i was born in colorado, i was taught not to insult anyone without good reason.

If I'd say "yes I hate Americans" I would be basing that hatred on the numerous experiences I had with a grand majority of them having screamed at me through a headset mic telling me to go fuck myself and my mom because of my accent. You can't honestly say you hate an entire country just because the news broadcasts another group of bloated, loud-mouthed American citizens who frankly everyone should dislike, even other Americans.

It's a shame, but it's these negative things that leave a mark in other countries. Same with countries in Europe: Britain's got chavs, the Dutch get high all the time...
You can't do anything about the negative images getting the upper hand here. I'll just give a nation the benefit of the doubt until some indisputable evidence comes along that all of them but a small amount of exceptions are idiots.

Though you have to admit, a nation who elects Bush twice can not be rated high on the board.

I love my mother too, but you people get offended by it so easily. If someone says they're, and if you know they're not, then why does it matter? They're just being stupid. And America should be happy with what they have now, and not to push it. They're alive, they don't have mud homes for everyone, and so on. But no, you have to have all the resource. And also, I am in America, but that doesn't mean I have to love it.
