Let me sum my thoughts up:
Artistic style - nice, but can be evolved.
Writing - I can do better myself, but I won't. Why? Because it still would be atrocious. Too much text.
Storyline - It would've been better off without one.
Treatment of fan-base/guests on the forum - anything you say is a person attack against Tim Buckley.

Keep in mind that I haven't checked that site for a while, but I think it is still fairly accurate.

I more hate the Up Arrow and how it's always pressed when I press shift and lose half the stuff I typed.

Oh wait--a comic? Wrong thread...^^""

I personally prefer Ctrl+Shift+Esc, it skips the splash screen to open task manager in new versions of windows.

I have very little knowledge about Ctrl-Alt-Del, so it?s difficult for me to say I hate them or like them.

The parodies were good but now he has a terrible habit of focusing on the characters instead of been humorous. I don't care about Ethan's marriage, show me him putting a fork into an electrical socket.

I actually like most of their parody jokes. I'm not the best judge though since I like anything that references games :p

The thing is he's built the whole of his comic around Ethan being an idiot. What's he gonna do when he FINALLY (God in heaven hurry the fuck up with that) gets married and/or has a kid? He can't be retarded forever, and then Tim's comic just kinda..dies. Or he makes a new one. I just don't see the Ethan Tim has established as being a believably serious person. Too much of a 180.
Ethan is still quite reliably an idiot. He now has a little bit of maturity, but still frequently slides back into mind-bogglingly stupid lines of thought...the recent "chicken-fish" incident is indicative of this.

Everything about the writing in Ctrl+alt+del is terrible. The jokes aren't funny, the story is stupid and boring, and the characters are archetypical, flat, and boring.

I like the majority of his stuff.

However, I'm liking less and less of the drama. When it comes to the point whe nthigns start taking themselves a little too seriously, is when it gets less fun.

It's why Bayonetta rocks. Not once do I think it actually expects you to listen to it's plot. It's a game of complete and pure, utter silliness, and if you try to take it seriously, you should go to Hell. XD

A few years back I liked CAD alot, back when it still mostly was gaming jokes with a few sitcom-like jokes. You know, back when it was still a comedy strip. Ever since the horrible pregnancy-plot I have felt that CAD has lost its' way and that Buckley really wants it to be more than he is capable of making it. He can make game parodies, but he obviously can't write a serious storyline.

That said, no I don't hate it. I just find that most of the time these days I am just not amused when I read CAD. Considering it is free however, all I am losing is a minute or two of my life.

I like most of it some of it like the miscarrage plot was unneeded. The plots are well though out and i love the sillys he puts one the site as well.

I rather dislike it if only because there are so many better webcomics out there, and I don't need to waste my time with something that reads like a poor attempt at combining Questionable Content and Penny Arcade.

All my opinion, of course.

I have grown rather attatched to the characters. And although he has crossed a line or two I can't deny there was some emotional impact to it (like the baby incident) which is rather inappropriate for a web comic like that. I mean he could have just pulled a Family Guy and kept her pregnant forever (and probably should have since he didn't think it through). Or even had the baby come out like Stewie. Although since then he seems to have gotten back on track. Losing Zeke hurt the comic. And this wedding/Rory thing has got to end. It has dragged on for far to long. He seems to get to caught up in the details and that hurts the story.

His funny 1 page comics are hit or miss. I don't like the 1-4 characters or the chef. Most of the time when they are random they are funny.

CAD is somewhat of a touchy subject in the realm of webcomics. personally I don't have as strong of feelings when it comes to it, its basically one of the millions of video game humor comics out there. I did fallow the series for a while ,but lost interest in it when the writer decided to do the whole infamous "miscarriage" story arc. now to CAD's credit it was vary Ballsy move, but the whole thing felt insanely out of place. think about to quote Zero Punctuation (as best as i can remember the quote) "you set yourself off as a wacky humor comic and this shift in tone is going to be awkward at best." As a fledgling comic book writer/artist if you are making a wacky humor comic its ok to put some dramatic elements in it, like for example story arcs, interesting character development, or even romance into the comic, and movies like "Knocked UP, "Superbad", and even "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" are based on the same idea . the thing is that when you decide to do something on the lines of CAD you are going to alienate your target audience, again to use movies to prove my point the movie "Click" for the beginning seems like a semi-toilet humor comedy, but as the movie progresses it gets more and more depressing, and to the audience this can feel like a punch in the balls to expect a funny story, but instead get a really sad moment and i think this is the reason why people are so divided of the subject of CAD. Wow wall of text. i feel like Tim Buckly.

EDIT: doing some reserch Tim said the reason why he did the whole miscarriage thing was to make sure that the comic did progress into a "life with a baby" comic. in my opinion thats a pretty weak excuses...also i do kinda enjoy the 3-4 panel comics about gaming ,but wasn't that what CAD was ment to be?
