WITHOUT, shaving for like a week after having a neckbeard. Do you just let your neckbeard stay and not bother with it?
I haven't shaved in some time. Result? Neckbeard, baby.
My wife gets annoyed with the scruff of it, but I love it during these Canadian winters!
Keeps my face AND neck warm!

Whether it works or not depends how thick the hair is, and how pudgy your face is.

Thicker the hair, the better, pudgier the face, the worse.

As it is, I don't chance it. My beard's fairly tightly cropped around my chin, neck clean shaven at all times.

The bottom line tends to waver but I mostly manage to keep it safely under my chin. It's my upper cheeks that really give me trouble, them and the back of my neck.

Man I hope no girls read that.

Only when I don't shave, and then it's not that bad.

I'm 24 and I still can't grow a beard without it being patchy as hell.
Have you tried starting with a goatee? You've got to keep it well trimmed so the rest has time to grow in.
If I grew a goatee, I would have to consider the possibility of killing myself.

I hate the damn things.

Nope, the only facial hair I keep are my frankly fantastic 50's style sideburns. Considering moving to proper mutton-chops. Bitches love mutton-chops.

I have a superior neckmoustache. I'm still jive and down with the hip young kids of today with their neckbeards though, right?

It would be kind of weird if I did (female here) but my boyfriend does when he doesn't shave. I think it's kind of icky. >.>

Stop copying me Daystar! :p
I hate goatees but when I attempt to grow a proper beard I always need to shave before it can grow in properly.
At least I have bitching sideburns.

I've done it in the past, I often just don't feel ambitious enough to shave, but now that I have a job I can't really do it anymore.

All I can grow are rockin' sideburns. I could feed a family with my mutton chops if I grew them out.

The rest of my face...well, I have an anti-goatee. My facial hair grows everywhere except around my mouth and chin. It's pretty sorry looking if I get lazy.

I usually just shave every couple of days to keep my face looking semi-rugged without dipping into stupid. I never let it get into neckbeard territory. >.<
I have a similar problem, the hair does not grow well on the cheeks and burns area yet I can grow a majestic goatee..... If we could somehow combine our facial hair we could make one rocking beard!

Anyway, I keep the neckbeard under control.

I've got a full beard, but I shave my neck, cause it looks ridiculous, and my lower cheeks (no, not that low) as it only comes out in measly tufts. Otherwise I've got a proper thick and bushy beard going from ear to ear with a tash that I can swirl the tips on for a dastardly look.

If I don't shave for long enough, I do start to develop one.. but I can't stand it and shave it. Even if I leave the rest of my facial hair alone, I can't stand having that hair on my neck.
