Just wanted to say I approve of your "Skittles - the hard to spell dragon" avatar.

OT: I was in the army for two years, and I have a black belt in Japanese Jujitsu. I would say that's a definite "yes", but I had a pretty bad back injury (resulting in me leaving the army) and honestly I doubt I'd be able to really handle myself in a fight against someone who knew what they were doing.

Martial arts? No, but I can throw a damn nice punch, have pretty fast reflexes and I'm pretty clever.

Not to mention that I'm more than willing to fight extremely dirty and because of my relatively broad and especially tall build can look pretty intimidating if I want to.

That should do, in most occasions that is. But I'd like to learn a martial arts though, especially Japanese Juijitsu and Jeet Kune Do appeal to me.

Black belt in karate, been doing it for nine years, almost ten.

Graduated to black belt in one style, quit and then went from 1st brown to black belt in another style. But I'm a passive person and haven't needed karate for anything other than show yet... And possible preventing groin tearing that time I fell off the bike... make that times...

I can throw a punch and I am a rather beefy guy, it's not much but it's kept me safe so far.

I trained Ju Jutsu (or wtf the name are) but it was years back but I'm still a good brawler punshing, kicking, whatever. I'm a very good "amateur fighter" I will do the job easy and nice but not so professional.

It's a pretty simple question.
I used to do Tae-Kwon-Do. I was a red-belt two-stripe.
Red belt two stripe? What does that mean?
When I did tae kwon do, I reached blue belt. I'd happily go back and finish the training.
But what do you mean 'two stripe'? Like, red belt with a black stripe? We always called that 'black tag'.
Aye. As do we.

Not particularly, I tried Karate for a while, but it was pretty pathetic. I'm not being arrogant here, but it really did suck, whether it was the teacher, or the students, I don't know.

Tae Kwon Do was ok, but got a bit dull.

Judo was awesome, but shut down soon after I joined. (I'd found it was what I was destined to do in life, as I was pinning people twice as old as me, and been doing it for years on my first month.

AAAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAA

Yeah, you did the shitty Korean Government's rip-off version of Tae-Kwon-Do where you can grade about once a month...

I did ITF Tae-Kwon-Do (the real one, invented by General Choi Chong Hi when he was in prison) until red stripe (most of the belt is blue), then I got bored with it and lost interest.

Tried TKD last year for a short while, but i couldn't get into it so i quit. This year i've decided to go back to archery instead.

On a good day i can hit a human sized target at 50 yards with my bow, giving most martial artists a run for their money. Unfortunately, it's not like you can carry a big recurve bow on your back all day.

Well, I've been training in Krav Maga for the past 2 years, but I've never gotten into a fight (which is a shame, 'cause I'd really love to try some things out on certain people), so I don't know how I'd do in a proper fight.

11 years Tang Soo Do. Plus I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about how everyday objects could be used to maim/kill. As long as I'm not inebriated, injured or cripplingly depressed I'll do okay.

While I never did any official training, I know a good chunk of MMA from my brother who is obsessed with it. I am self-taught in the ways of the sword, mixing Japanese and Western styles into 1 that probably would get me killed if I were to fight a real trained swordsman but would work well against a thug with a knife or a baseball bat.
