You can't beat a good Black Pudding supper and a glass bottle of Irn-Bru from the chippy. Good times indeed.

Never really understood why people found it icky. When things like muscle tissue, kidneys, and livers are par for the course, something like blood shouldn't be strange at all. I mean, a rare cooked steak has blood seeping out of it, and that's seen as delicious.

Then again, I was brought up in a rural Scottish town, where haggis isn't an unusual dish, so...

Blood is actually really tasty.

If you've ever had a penny, it tastes like pennies.

Or copper, I guess, if you've never seen a penny.

Anyway, I've never had it.
good point it does taste like pennies...

but thats precisely why i dont like black pudding, i hate that taste XD

It can be used for things other than fry-ups too. It's delicious with carmelised red onion and grilled goats cheese, and it makes a great stuffing for chicken too.
That first one sounds delicious. Do you have a recipe, or is it basically just a matter of frying some onions, grilling black pudding and goats cheese, and putting the onions on top? What do you eat it with?

EDIT: On topic, yes, I obviously like Black Pudding, although I prefer white. And I would do dreadful things for a white pudding supper right now.

My family like it, but I don't, which is ironic since I grew up in 'The Black Country', which is a part of the West Midlands (UK) where black pudding is considered a delicacy. Note the name 'Black Country' was actually born from the smoke over the area in the Industrial Revolution and it is only coincidental that black pudding is a local delicacy.

I love black pudding. It may not look great but the taste is delicious. No fry up is complete without it.
