Poll: Do you like cats?

I love cats - I've always had at least 2 here in the house, and will surely continue to. I am a "cat person", definitely.

No. Do not like, do not want. Aside from having very bad cat allergies, I have SERIOUS TRAUMATIC SCARS from having a cat in heat constantly shoving its ass up in my face over a period of three months. I don't know how I managed to be around this cat every time it was in heat, and I did not enjoy it!

Also, I like many animals, including cats. Now, as for pets though, I'd definitely rather have a cat than a dog. Just because they are not as dependant on humans, usually. (correct that: cats do not rely on specific humans - if one human doesn't satisfy them - "well, screw this, I'll go someplace else")

Course I do! Specifically I like short-haired cats they shed enough as it is.
We have 3 in my house. Sundae (tortoise pattern), Vanilla (white) and Butterscotch (orange/white tabby)
My wife likes ice cream.

My cat may be evil, but he is mine. Sting is really cute, but if you aren't careful he will scratch you. Not to hurt you, but to keep your hand in place so he can lick it. It still hurts though, guess thats what happens when your cat is part domestic part lynx. At night you can actually see him and a few raccoons hanging around in the back yard, just looking at each other. He can really frighten them sometimes.

I don't dislike them. But I don't feel they developed any kind of emotion whatsoever during the course of their evolution. Therefor I find them unvit to be liked I can't be sure about it, but I think emotionally they are at the level of a ladybug, and we don't truly care for those do we?

The first cat I tried to pet scratched me when I was six. I have had more bad experiences with cats and I don't feel any inclination to like them. Prefer a big dog I can run around with.

Agreed. What is their purpose any way? Is it to catch rodents or something? If it is, I would be surpised if my friend's obese monstronsity could catch a mouse in a black top hat dancing infront of its face.

I love cats and they love me! I live with ~10 of them at any single time, and sometimes 1-5 cute small ones join the fun of which one will stay. ^_^
