Well, I can't deny that school can be quite boring or highly demanding and sometimes I felt like I just couldn't do everything that was demanded of me. Also, some people I studied with were...not helping me get through it.

And still, school was good in many ways. I met just about every friend of mine during my school years and I'm even in contact with most of them. I miss that time at school. Also, I wouldn't know everything I know now without school.
How well you enjoy school depends greatly on your school environment ie. other students and teachers. I guess I was lucky compared to many other in this thread as I had good and sometimes even funny teachers and most of the people I studied with were tolerable.

Highschool wasn't any different than other school-years, for me atleast. I hung around with the friends I had and met. I did my homework and did well at my subjects. I didn't really interact with girls though, so I kinda missed that part of the "awesome" highschool.

When my mandatory school has kinda ended for me now, I realize how much school meant for me. I mean, before I had a purpose in my life, to graduate school with good grades among other things. What am I supposed to do now when that is over?! I have to prepare for the "real", working mans world and live up to expectations. It's up to me now to go forward in my life, whether it's higher education or work. It is so much more difficult than just do what you are told. School was simple. I sometimes miss it...

Wow, this became quite a rant.

I'm not sure what the British equivalent of high school is. For the most part, school was mediocre, but the year when I was 16-17 (first year of college in UK) was the best year of my life so far.
thats what its been like for me college is awesome

Only thing good about school is that you learn things necessary for adult life, everything else I hate, if you really like to socialise so much get of your a** and go outside instead of staying home ALL DAY making your 100,001st post.

Is this meaning school or college?
or both?
I like college for the fact that I choose lessons and have friends in the classes.
School was the arm-pit of depression where people got bullied, threatened, beaten up, etc
you get the idea, a normal school.
[diety], I HATE this country, or more precisely, the people that F*ck it up.
Just a curious question, which country are you from?
jeeze, reading the other posts just shows how far into the U-Bend this country is.
I wish this country was more akin to those posted about, then maybe we wouldn't be driven into the ground :|

and as for the country... It doesn't currently deserve its name that once conjured up images of strength, power, majest and nobility. It is a husk

Sure, I get to see your friends everyday
but that joy gets overruled by dumbasses and useless teachings

2 years ago, I found it meh. Last year however, everything changed in my perspective and I started to hate it. I noticed that the entire school system went to hell here, the subjects became uninteresting and mostly useless in life after college.

It seems boring and useless but you learn an when you learn you know and when you know... you know athe the end $$$. I can stop going to school whenever I want and go to work but I don't want, I want the life of having fun with friends in the school and not thinking of my paycheck and bills, bills are for parents. I may look like I hate it but I actually like it, much.

I like it. I learn and it's my only way of socializing (sad, I know). But it all depends on the school you're going to. I love the school I'm in now because I'm learning but there aren't many kids to make friends with that are my age (it's a multi class school). The last school I went to, I wasn't doing well but I was able to socialize.

Going into my sophomore year in a few weeks. This is the year we take the graduation tests. Because of this, I insist that my school system is stupid. What's the point of giving us a test that determines whether we graduate or not in our second year?

Anyways, I hate school, but when it's summer, or winter break... I tend to only eat one meal a day, so, I like school because it returns me to a decent schedule. One that involves not sleeping in until 6 PM.

I love school for some odd reason. I think its a combination of learning new things and socializing. Also in before the inevitable Yahtzee "Noooooooo...etc" joke.

I suppose i enjoy my high school. It's filled with a bunch of colorful people, and the teachers are not too bad.

This post might get really whiny, so anyone not ready for it, GO AWAY!

I just started my tenth schoolyear a few days ago, in a new school. I usually judge things out from my first hunch, and stick to that stance. And so far I find people ridicoulously arrogant. It doesn't make things better that pretty much everyone tells me that highschool was the best thing that ever happened to them. Well thank you, now I've got even more pressure. Anyways, my thoughts have no coherence at all, so I ask you, how do you feel about school? (high-school in particular)
Hollywood wants you to believe that high school will be the best time of your life to sell you shit you don't need but really it's the college years where you are free to drink, smoke and sleep with whatever or whoever you want.
