Well, I can't deny that school can be quite boring or highly demanding and sometimes I felt like I just couldn't do everything that was demanded of me. Also, some people I studied with were...not helping me get through it.
And still, school was good in many ways. I met just about every friend of mine during my school years and I'm even in contact with most of them. I miss that time at school. Also, I wouldn't know everything I know now without school.
How well you enjoy school depends greatly on your school environment ie. other students and teachers. I guess I was lucky compared to many other in this thread as I had good and sometimes even funny teachers and most of the people I studied with were tolerable.
Highschool wasn't any different than other school-years, for me atleast. I hung around with the friends I had and met. I did my homework and did well at my subjects. I didn't really interact with girls though, so I kinda missed that part of the "awesome" highschool.
When my mandatory school has kinda ended for me now, I realize how much school meant for me. I mean, before I had a purpose in my life, to graduate school with good grades among other things. What am I supposed to do now when that is over?! I have to prepare for the "real", working mans world and live up to expectations. It's up to me now to go forward in my life, whether it's higher education or work. It is so much more difficult than just do what you are told. School was simple. I sometimes miss it...
Wow, this became quite a rant.
