Oh, I love to roleplay. I played Dread once, but I fail at jenga, so my character didn't last very long. We get together with some friends twice a month and RP homebrewn campaigns using the cyberpunk system (modified to fit the setting). Next week we're a starting a campaign based arond the Mad Max movies.
However, my favourite game has always been MERP (Middle-Earth Role-playing). Robust, flexible system, d100 system, pre-built setting that all players are very familiar with, and lots of freedom when creating a character. We usually roleplay seriously (faking accents, being poetic and Tolkien-esque, and, above all, we favour being in-character over benefiting the party. That means that even if the sea route is the shortest and safest, the dwarves won't get on the boat because they have sailing).
However, we do make jokes and act stupid from time to time. It keeps things fresh.
Dwarf: "Stop your bloody song about the woods! Sing about mines!"
Me (Bard): "Fine, fine. MORIA! MORIA!" sung to the tune of Laura Branigan's Gloria. Massive laughter ensued.
