Poll: Do you shame Noobs?

I was playing WoW (which i just got last week), and someone would not stop harassing me because i was new at this game. Do you shame noobs for being noobs at anything?

Not in WoW, I don't play that, but some other games I've played online.

I try not to burn noobs, no matter what game I'm playing. In WoW I'm actually pretty nice to them, I use to help them with quests and dungeons... I only get snappy when they expect it of me instead of thinking that I'm doing a favor for them.

In competitive games like CoD, or Halo I just don't wear a mic, so I don't blow up when they do poorly.

My strategy is this:


1. Is the user harassing people for help, or generally being whiny? If so, go to 2. If not, go to 3.
2. Put him on the equivalent of your Ignore List and do not feed the troll.
3. Give the user the help he or she may need and go on your way.

It's that simple.

I don't really notice, if playing an fps, its obviously a matter of who is better.
Other games it just seems stupid

I dunno, I went through a stage in WoW of buying new peoples stuff off them for about 5G-10G, which is a very good deal on them, it was just funny for me to watch naked people kill wolves... But apart from that, I wouldn't unless they are being really obnoxious, like declaring people should give them money/boost them, then I will just lay into them.

i think people should learn the difference between a newbie and a noob...
i once got attacked on an online game just because i asked someone where they got they're animal from
i'd only just started the game 2 hours ago

but if i come across a real noob, i just ignore them

I try to be civil to newbs, keeping in mind that everyone is a newb at one point in their life. However, when they prove to be completely incompetent or, even worse, prove to be completely incompetent while thinking they're hot shit and everyone else sucks, I tend to lose my self control.

i do when they show their total noobiness like in halo or multi player on GH. playing expert then they fail in the first 30seconds. i keep it to myself though but im like nooob in my head. dont get me wrong when they call me a noob when i have a bad round or 2 i call them it back and then the gloves are off.
