Uhhh....I don't for a variety of reasons, one I am far from what you would call "sexually active" so the only person that ever sees my regions is myself, two, I've had it shaved for surgery, and I hated it, too cold and the stubble was irritating...but too each there own

I tried shaving it before, but it itched too much when it started growing back.

I just trim now.

Body hair in general pretty much grosses me out. I don't shave often because I'm lazy but if anyone else is gonna see me naked, I'm gonna shave thoroughly. It's mostly for my satisfaction rather than hers', but I've been complimented on my smooth legs before and there's nothing better than rubbing smooth legs together.

Generally I just like smoothness. If I could laser all of the body hair from my body I would.
Similar situation here, though I tend to shave relatively often(usually whenever I shower). I can say from experience that laser is OWWWWEEEWOOWWWEEEEWOWWWWWWWWWWW... especially in more sensitive regions ;~;

Seriously though, agreed about rubbing super smooth legs together being utterly sublime c:

I don't shave purely because I have had all of the unwanted hair on me removed by a more permanent solution. Because I'm trans, not going for sexual reassignment, but have had orchi, plus usually wear silk soft and usually tight panties, any hair down there would be hellish, just hellish. Though to get permanent hair removal that complete, you really have to trust the person doing it.
Hoping to get that area handled in a similar fashion. Similar to you I tend to love silky stuff, and it always feels better with less body hair involved ;3

Agreed about rubbing super smooth legs together myself, and even more so when you get to have satin brushing against those legs. So I'm with both you and Dizzy on that front...

As for the laser part...

Well I did laser, that was very unpleasant to say the least, but short term suffering is a small price to pay for not having to shave on sensitive skin, on a regular basis no less.

Oh, uh, I didn't read the OP. Yeah I shave my face, but that is off topic so...

OT: No, generally not. I know it's a lot more prevalent for women but, let's face it ladies, it's (relatively) easier for you. Us guys have a certain area down there that's, well let's just say is very hard to navigate with a razor without risk of serious damage. I've done it a couple of times on special request but, ya know, let's just not go there.

OOOOH yeah. Totally with you on the satin there. Curled up in one of my satin nylon Olga gowns as I'm typing this, as a matter of fact :3

Also not kidding there. At least I know of a good place that does excellent work(actually recommended by my doctor!) and they won't charge an arm and a leg for it. Going there tomorrow, coincidentally. Still, owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Great minds think alike I've been lounging all day in satin lined fleece pajamas. Double softness, silky on the inside cuddly on the outside.

That's a good starting point, I found that expensive places generally don't aren't as good as more reasonably priced ones, oddly enough. But yeah it's always a bit painful, but being a redhead who forgets sunscreen exists, well a epic bad sunburn is still a lot worse.

Yeah.

There's no real good reason, it's just a personal preference.

It is kind of a nuisance in some ways on both sides. If you don't shave often, and you decide to shave it all off (Which is a bit drastic), you'll itch a lot, and that's not nice. But if you do it fairly regularly, it won't itch nearly as much. Shave with the grain, whenever you shave anywhere, otherwise you're just asking for ingrown hairs. Yeah, you can get a closer shave going against it, but it isn't worth it. Trimming's the easier option, trim the thicket, and prune around it. Just don't shave the part between your pelvis and leg bare, that valley between the mound and the front of the thigh. That's going to hurt, a lot.

If anything, I'd say it's less taboo. Just look at Hollywood's leading men, not a hair to be seen on their chests. I shave mine too, but not as often as my nether regions. Itchy nipples and armpits are about the only discomfort I experience.

I actually revisited this thought a week back myself... Normally, no, I don't shave there, and I re-affirmed my thoughts the other day...

I don't know how people manage it, but the regrowth causes me quite a bit of discomfort under any form of underwear, so, if there's a way to keep *that* in check (besides waxing or removal cream, because none of that stuff is going THERE!) I might consider keeping it clean... Otherwise, I ain't touching it unless a partner has a problem with it...

Electric shavers are a good option for keeping the stubble down. I had a couple for body hair before I had laser hair removal, one womens and one mens. Best advice there is that womens electric shavers tend to be cheaper, but the same as men's ones, at least that's what I've found, also get a wet/dry shaver, because the shower is the best place to do shaving. Also don't use anything like "Lectric Shave" electric razor preshaving stuff on your crotch... I know a some people who've made that mistake of both sexes, they say it's like lighting your crotch on fire.

I did consider getting an electric razor, but there are three things stopping me from doing so...

1) I don't know what I'm looking for... (Circular/straight motion, special features, etc...)

2) The price for any electric shaver is at least $140 AUD... well, for a "name-brand" model anyway...

3) I don't need to shave (my face) often enough for THAT cost to be justifiable... Since, again, I don't know if I need a "special" shaver for the job...

Well to address things in order.

1) I personally found that straight motion, the side to side ones with the single long foil work best. All you need is a single shaver head for the job generally. The only special feature you want is that it's a wet/dry shaver.

2) Look into travel electric shavers, the single head compact ones, they're generally pretty cheap. Go for one that take AA batteries if you can. Rechargeable electric shavers for this purpose are counter productive as the battery won't last long without daily use.

3) It doesn't need to be a "special" electric shaver, but I find women's shavers like these tend to be cheaper and just as good as the men's shavers. Also some people find that they don't want to use a shaving device on their face when they used it on other parts of their bodies. So having an electric shaver for shaving your body, especially your privates, and something else for your face could be an efficient solution there.

But yeah any electric shaver can get the job done, self washing ones kinda don't do a good job self washing, so a wet/dry one is best that way you can wash the blades after use easily, also so you can use it in the shower. Cheaper ones seem to do just as good as the expensive ones. Hope that helps.

Edit: Before laser hair removal I used both a women's and men's single head straight motion travel razor for up keep. Like on my legs, my armpits, and my whole body. Because shaving with my Gillette razors left me with razor burn where I shaved for days. That's a Mach 3 Razor, a Venus Razor, and A Fusion razor, they all were rough on the skin. Though before going to work with an electric you're gonna wanna shorten the hair you wanna shave so that the electric can get it.

I shave the balls and trim the rest. For me shaving was one of those things where you hear about it and see it in porn but doing it in real life seemed a bit weird. Then I decided to give it a go and turns out I like it, both the way it looks and feels.

Sometimes. Every few months I give Mr Stick-em-up a good trimming, this can include the full shave but not always.

I do keep things trim and ready for action down there but I never go full-baby.
That is not the fault of the poll.

it's a better idea then shaving and that shaving down there is a generally bad idea for impact and head regulation reasons.
I don't understand. Are you in favour of it?

I sometimes shave other body hair as well. Sometimes I don't like how it looks, sometimes I just want a change.

It's more taboo in the sense that whilst (sorry for making the assumption) fewer people see a person's never regions, armpits and chests tend to be seen a lot more. For that reason, trimming your junk isn't a big thing, however shaving your chest is more likely to receive push back because it is considered an effeminate thing to do, or is more likely to be challenged on its aesthetics. That applies to movies too - hairless is the standard look for actors these days, but it doesn't stop people commenting on how peculiar they think it looks.

Well remember that body builders shave their entire bodies and generally keep them that way, then they oil up and pose in speedos and that's seen as the peak of masculinity.
