Poll: Do you use auto aim?

On games like RDR , yes because hitting someone while me and him both are riding like crazy on a wagon is hard.
On FPS games , screws up the aiming and i might shoot an exploding barrel a billion miles away instead of that guy 2 meters from me.

auto aim is for newbs,noobs and casual gamers

Or those of us not blessed with HD. I do not use auto aim. However, if a game has an aim assist, because I only have a 17" SD monitor and a 27" SD TV then it really helps. When playing COD or Mass Effect, half the time, I can't see the fockers. So, aim assist helps me (in single player, people who use it in multiplayer are cheating scumbuckets) to find the guys I have trouble seeing.

Also, if you use VATS, then the answer is automatically "Yes" I know it doesn't hit 100% of the time, but what else do you call it?

It depends on the game. For first person games it is often better gone, for third person, it is much more often required.

There are some games with camera views or controls SO BAD that I have no choice but to use auto aim. I also use auto aim for third person titles if I am playing on a console because I hate aiming with the stick thing. But for everything else, s'all good without the autoaim.

If it's on by default, it stays on. If it's not, it stays off.

I couldn't aim a console controller to save my virtual life. Simple as that. Auto-aim helps a little, I suppose. But it's a supplement, not a replacement, for actually aiming skills.

I'm primarily a PC gamer and so my aiming with game pad is crap.
