I prefer not to use it as around a good 80% of it is just random chatter. And I refuse to give into the normal popular websites of the 21st century (Which are Myspace,Twitter and Facebook)
Not really, never saw the point. If a major gaming company says something interesting on Twitter, it'll pop up at the News forum here anyway. And my life is too dull to share with random people anyway.
Yep I use twitter. But I don't use it as intended, I use it more as a universal chat application. I never really felt the need to say what I was doing to everyone every second of my life.
I do quite frequently... I use it as a chat-device. I actually just finished a rather long conversation with megapenguinx. But you can't see... I lock my Twitter, so that only people I allow can see my Tweets.
Reasons:
1. Don't Care
2. Don't Care
3. Have a life
4. Don't Care
5. My work doesn't allow it
6. Don't Care
7. Waiting for Star Trek Holodecks, twitter is just a transitive technology
8. Really F*****g don't care
Nah no need to have it. I only find Facebook useful to keep in touch with a few friends over seas. Twitter would just seem like a secondary way to do that but with less content.
The main reason I use Twitter is due to my forgetful nature. Basically, during the day, I used to either write stuff down or try to remember it and compile it into a blog post later, typically ending up forgetting details and such. Now, I just tweet stuff when I can, right after it happens, and let LoudTwitter make the posts for me later.
Text messaging and Ping.FM help with this tremendously.
