This is a habit of mine that I can't seem to break. I will always vote in a poll, but then I'll never post in the thread. Don't ask me why, because I sure as hell don't know either. Maybe it's because I figure voting will mean I already put in some response and that no other response is necessary. Maybe if I'm asked to give some more input, but that's very rare.

So Escapists, simple question: Do you vote and post?

[sub][sub]And let's pray to whatever deity is out there that the Escapist doesn't eat my poll...

EDIT: YAY! It's still there! :D [/sub][/sub]

It depends what the thread is about whether I post as well. If I have anything else to say about it then I'll post as well but otherwise I'll just vote and leave it at that

Generally, I'm either willing to post in a thread, or I am not. I only vote if I'm willing to add an actual opinion to the topic, not just a statistic.

I'll try to post after voting, but sometimes I've answered the question and have nothing to add

I used to vote and post but now I seem to be voting less. I guess I just feel that posting conveys my opinion better.

I vote in things I have any clue about and sometimes I post, sometimes I don't. It just depends on whether I feel I have anything of value to add.

I almost always vote if I feel I am able to answer the question, but I don't always post.
If I post, it's pretty sure that I've already voted though.

Depends on the thread, so "other".
If I see someone who has said something worth replying to / criticising for being total bull then I will post. If I have a lot to say on the topic, I will post. If it is decently interesting but the poll doesn't cover my answer (like now) then I might post.

Also, self-defeating thread is self-defeating, you are guaranteed to get a very biased result (as you have) simply because of what you are asking. And there are probably many more lurkers, some who don't even have accounts, laughing and saying "I am not voting, Mwahahaha." or something... okay maybe not but you get the picture.

More often than not I will post after voting. This is unless somebody has already stated what I have to say on that particular subject.

But yeah, I generally post after voting.

I'll post unless it's a thread that's up in the double digits, because by then I figure most things have been said already :)

If I feel my opinion will contribute in some way or another I'll post, if not I'll just throw my vote in there and read the thread.

The experimental design here has a fundamental flaw :p

I used to vote, then post, but most of the time I don't bother with voting & just go straight to the post. Most polls seem to have been done before (or something very similar) so it's more fun to discuss a different aspect of a topic to last time, as there's a lot more freedom involved.

I do both most of time since I like posting and voting only takes about a second to do so why not vote as well. I will only do a vote if people in the thread have already said everything I could say which happens quite often.

I'll usually vote for the sake of doing so and to see the poll results (I know you can also see them by clicking the button but voting takes practically no longer), then whether I post depends on how interested I am in the thread and whether I have anything valid to say. If it's controversial I may consider that too since I don't always have time to get into a long debate.

While I occasionally vote and run (especially if the topic is long) otherwise I post and vote.

I have, on occasion, posted without voting though.

Most of the time, unless the only thing I'm contributing to the thread is arbitrary and platitudinous; offering up nothing to actually further the discussion. Wait...
