Maybe, but not any time soon. The thought of my spawn roaming the planet at the moment terrifies me.

Maybe, eventually. A lot of things need to happen in the meantime (not the least of which is finding a girlfriend). I'm very active in my nieces' lives and they're just so darn cute.

On the other hand, I've also worked in retail, education, and other service oriented jobs... Nothing makes you hate children more than having to deal with random people's screaming brats... every damn day.

Look at my avatar, take a guess. Not for a while though, probably not another decade at-least, still enjoying being free before I take on responsibility.

Yes I do. I want a son and a daughter. I believe I would make a really good father, I will be starting a course to become a teacher if I get the required grades so looking after children will be a daily occurrence for me anyway.

generally it seems that most people who say they wont have kids...eventually do

anyway in my case, Im not maternal, I dont want them (right now), I think its slightly taboo not having kids, especially if you are a woman

and not to mention in the womans case the "ticking biological clock" experts do say that generally its just better to have kids earlyer, from a heath standpoint, which makes sense but if you think about it, it clashes with our modern society,

as less men and women are willing to make such a comitment earlyer

if I get to a certain age and havnt had children...and then cant, I hope Ill be content enough to be fine with that...as somone here said its not just kids..its a lifestyle

When I see a well behaved child I think - hmm maybe it would be pretty cool to be a parent. Then I see a screaming bratty child and my ovaries tie themselves in knots. The bratty ones are the ones I see 95% of the time with their parents sourly yanking them along or growling into their faces.
Becoming a parent is this huge change ... you're no longer the protagonist in your own life, you're now just the parent to your child. I'm not a fan of responsibility even though I'm fairly responsible anyway. At the moment it really doesn't appeal to me, it just seems like that thing people do when they get married or reach a certain age. Oh it's "time to start a family".
If I'm with a guy who doesn't want children, that's fine by me. If he's not sure also fine. If he really wants children then he can find some other fertile woman - I don't need that kind of pressure!

I think I have some decent genes and values to pass on to the next generation, even if no one else agrees with me :D

Honestly though, biologically speaking, if you don't have progeny you have failed at life (note: biologically speaking).
see this is one of my deep fears

I dont want children...yet worry that if I never had them then I would be some kind of failure...or the Idea of "passing on a part of me so that there will be somthing left when I die".....its a scary thourght

Nooooo

The thought of having children makes me want to pour concrete into my womb.

Getting fat, the tearing during birth, the expense, by gods the expense, the sleepless nights and having to spend several years of my life without adult conversation.

I'm a selfish horrible person so no kids for me

I wouldn't want a child of my own, I guess, but I'll happily adopt a child if/when the time comes.
Then I'll have a child of my own, and I get to skip all the difficult/annoying bits. Like changing nappies/etc.
And I can raise (probably her) to be the heir to my insane plans.
Excellent...

Yes but not for another 8-10 years or something along those lines (I'm twenty).
Whether or not I'll actually be able to have children at that age is another story but if it can't happen naturally I'll adopt.

I only want one child though, maybe two, I'll see how I feel after the stress of the first one.

Yes one boy and one girl. A boy so that my family name can be passed on(yeah old fashioned) and a girl so that when she brings back her boyfriend/girlfriend one day we can both sit in the living room and I can glare at him/her until they leave.

I suppose it depends on if I find the right person and whether or not I feel it's a good idea when I do.
