Poll: Does anyone remember Beast Wars?

So I just bought the game, Transformers: War for Cybertron (awesome game, by the way, got it last night at 9, and already put 8 hours into it) and it made me nostalgic about this tv show I always used to watch as a kid called Beast Wars. You know, that Transformers show where they turned into animals instead of cars and trucks and stuff? So yeah, just wondering if anyone else remembers it. Also, for discussion value, who's your favorite character?

Edit: I just remembered that they continued Beast Wars with Beast Wars Evolution or something like that where they went back to Cybertron. I have no idea about any of that stuff, but you can post about it anyway if you like. I just remember the original Beast Wars where they were on that planet with the trees and escape pods would crash every once in a while with new characters.

Mine were:
1.Cheetor, because he was pretty cool and funny. And he was a cheeta. Which is pretty badass in my opinion.

2.I think his name was Raptor, but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I saw the show. He was the guy who could turn into a raptor(duh) and I think he used to be evil, but then he was good, but he was always that badass lone wolf type person. Oh, and I remember him shooting lasers out of one of his eyes. I think he died though. Guess he was too badass.

3.I'm not sure at all what his name was, but that guy that shows up near the end of the show, who can turn into some kind of falcon or eagle or something. He was pretty badass. I think his name was silver-something, I don't know.

4.Rhinox, if only because of that one episode where he gets turned evil for a while. He was AWESOME. He turned evil, so the Decepticons(I think they called themselves that in the series) took him in. Problem was, he was so bad-assedly(that is now a word, deal with it) awesome that he went on a rampage throughout the base and nearly destroyed them all. Too bad he turned good again...

5.Optimas Primal, but everyone likes Optimus, so that's nothing new.

Not only do I remember that show, I remember the toys I used to have! They were pretty awesome, especially when you had the three that turned into one huge guy.

It was pretty cool as a fully CGI show, one of the first if I remember. I always liked Blackarachnia and I had two Beast Wars action figures. I had Airazor and Depth Charge. My brother had Megatron and Cheetor I think, he definitely had Megatron - hard to forget a pink T-rex.

Holy shit I LOVED Beast Wars. Cheetor was my favorite at the time. He was just a bad ass. Ahh the early days of CGI annimation. You looked so bad yet we were so impressed!

The raptor was called Dinobot, the falcon/dog was called Silverbolt, the bad guys were called Predacons. Sorry I've seen the show 2 times over. And I'm currently on my 3rd watch of it. And commentary lol. I love the show

Remember it? My friends don't stop talking about it. Apparently, it was the fucking holy grail of cartoons, which makes no sense to me because I thought it was shit.

Then again, I have never liked anything Transformers, so maybe it was good to people who liked the actual concept and other shows. I just never saw anything special about it. In fact, I'd go out of my way to avoid it, which isn't something I do often.

The toys were, admittedly, awesome though. Whether or not I liked the shows/characters/anything Transformers related, I did enjoy those toys.

I have cased tapes of the show one of the episodes is when the cheater guy touches something and turns into a super powered cheater guy that was just primal and attacked anything.

When I was a kid I didn't, nay, couldn't miss an episode! So many great episodes. I refuse to watch it again now though out of fear of ruining my childhood memories.

The only bits I can remember about Beast Wars would be that scene where one of the characters finds a comatose Optimus Prime (No, not Primal, the actual robot Optimus), and that Starscream's spirit possessed one of the bad guys at one point... Or something like that, I dunno, I don't really remember it all that much.

Rattrap, Silverbolt, and Rampage. Also, there were two scorpion transformers, the first being the original Skorpinok, who was killed sometime around the start of season 2 (I don't remember if he died with Terrorsaur or not), and Quickstrike, who was a "Western" stereotype transformer obsessed with shooting things that turned into a gold and teal-colored scorpion, with a cobra's head at the end of its tail. The "ant guy" mentioned was Inferno, a predacon who insisted that Megatron was both a girl, and the queen of his "hive". He constantly uttered what amounted to a catchphrase: "For the royalty!"

The series (apart from Beast Machines) was really good, and fairly innovative for its time, given that it was one of the first cartoons to air on American TV that was completely done in CG.

Edit: Favorite character? Tough choice, though I'd say Rattrap. He may have been the most dismal and bleak character on the show, but when it came down to it, he was easily one of the most capable fighters the Maximals had. Also, Cheetor was an annoying brat.

I loved that show. But it confused me greatly.

I have some nostalgia over Beast Wars. Someday I might try watching it again just for that reason.

Fav character? I dunno, I suppose it would be that one autobot who had the hots for that spider decepticon. I think his tenacity made me admire him.

Hmm, either him or ratrap. I remember thinking this one episode where ratrap screws up their own base into attacking them and then goes in on a personal mission to fix it as my favorite episode.

I went back and re-watched most of the series (sans the first few episodes, which served as little more than introductions I already knew), and I can safely say that my childhood wasn't ruined. It's still an enjoyable show.

I remmeber watching it when I was little, but I don't remmeber much about it. I liked it, but I don't remember how "cool" it was.
