Alright im pretty sure that pathetic isn't the best word for that sort of make you a huge dick. Just because i dont care about my birthday i am pathetic?LordCuthberton said:I think it's very sad and pathetic you don't care for your birthday at such a young age.
OT: Birthday's do matter to me. They are one constant routine in almost all cultures and can be a very special moment for someone if they approach it the right way.
Eh, not seeing what's so special about being one year closer to death. That's not something I'd like to celebrate really.LordCuthberton said:I think it's very sad and pathetic you don't care for your birthday at such a young age.

Birthdays are awfully dull without friends.Mcupobob said:You too young to be jaded and cynical just enjoy yourself while you still can![]()
Because its hard for my friends to see me everyday, we live miles away from eachother and the gas can get expensive, so birthdays are a great excuse to spend that extra money and go hang out with eachother and just get silly.Cowabungaa said:Birthdays are awfully dull without friends.Mcupobob said:You too young to be jaded and cynical just enjoy yourself while you still can![]()
Plus, if you have awesome friends, why wait for one day in the year to have an awesome day? You can do that any day you wish.
Then what is the right approach? I mean, it's still a year closer to death. Yay?LordCuthberton said:The key word was "approach it in the right way".
As your current stance is "Just an excuse to rake in a bit of extra dough (no one bothers with giving me any presents) and eat some cake."
I wouldn't think you are taking the day in the right mind.
Fair enough, glad that works for you.Mcupobob said:Because its hard for my friends to see me everyday, we live miles away from eachother and the gas can get expensive, so birthdays are a great excuse to spend that extra money and go hang out with eachother and just get silly.

Soon you won't be able to make a big deal out of it anymore. You only get one chance to have an excuse to have so much fun!
As for me I love birthdays, I don't make a big deal out of them or ask for persents but I get together with close friends. On my 18th we got really drunk and they shaved my legs and we layed out on the grass smoking cigars and chased eachother around. It was great day and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
