Almost everytime I play Dragon Age: Origins I use the leveling glitch. To those who do not know what this is: When you need to collect 3 vials of Darkspawn Blood and the scrolls, only get the blood and return to Duncan, you can repeat this as many times as you want and you get xp every time. Just wondering, though, how many of you did it also?

Never heard of it before.
Rest assured I shall be testing this theorey... ;)
I like the idea of running around in massive armour in early chaopters.
(Not being a killjoy, but I've done several playthroughs on Nightmare. Would be nice to just kick back and have some fun...)

No, whenever I use glitches to progress in a game, I feel like I'm cheating. I remember a similar situation when I was playing Bioshock I accidentally came across a glitch where Big Daddies respawn with the Little Sisters, meaning an unlimited source of ADAM. But I didn't take it because cheaters never win and winners never cheat!

That sounds like something from a 90's PSA o.o;

Hmm it seems like you guys know all the fun glitches. All my glitches ruin my saves or won't let me blow up the hatch so I can shoot a nuke inside even though I know I'm doing it right... Freaking Crysis...

Nope, I don't use exploits in games, I enjoy the challenge of them and that seems like cheating so I hate to do it. Unlockable cheats like in Saints Row 2 I do enjoy because they're meant to be there and thats a game that its fun to be over powered in

Only just hearing about it now, I never really needed to in DA:O.

Sorry, but I always take the legit route, no matter what game I'm playing or what I'm playing it on.

I own a horse with six foot long legs and a similarly proportioned body that I sit atop while I game. It is a non-cheating horse.

So, no, I did not use the glitch. Not planning on it, either. I like the challenge too much. Most of my friends did, though, and they plowed right through the game. I don't know why people do that at all, actually. Why bother playing the game if every victory is completely assured?

Nah I never did it. I use exploits in RPGs occasionally, but honestly I don't think it would add much to the experience. The game is well balanced from level 1-20ish as it is imo.

I did on my first playthrough. Didn't on any others. Once I realised that enemies scale up with you, then it seemed rather silly to increase your levels with a glitch.

In fact, I stopped my first playthrough and started again to do it without so I could level it properly.

When I heard about that glitch, I was already past that part.

I'm probably going to play through Dragon Age again. I'm not going to use that glitch when I do.
It's kind of like cheating, isn't it? I usually don't cheat in games unless I've finished the game and I'm going back just to screw around.

Hell, it took me 2 hours to...
Defeat the Archdemon...
...and I didn't cheat!

[sub][sub]That battle really pissed me off...[/sub][/sub]

No, why would I do that instead of just using the editor on my characters? I only did it the first time through, but it's a much more convenient way to cheat than that sort of glitch.

Used it. Didn't feel bad, the game level scales (only to a certain level I know, depending on the zone the limits are different). Used it because higher level abilities are more fun, especially as a mage.

When playing through for the story it doesn't matter while playing through for the challenge it does (level scaling aside it's not the default game, same thing with DLC items).

Edit - I read, either on the current patch notes or incoming patch notes, that this glitch has been removed. So it either isn't there or soon won't be (I haven't used it in months), in an updated game of course.
