that just sounds very tedious. It also will make for an unbalanced and more boring gaming experience.

Loved this game. Absolutely loved it! But never heard of the level glitch. Even if I had I would not have used it.

DA:O is just too much fun to use a cheat.

I HAVE used it. But it made the game stupid.

My achievements show that I used it, as I have level 20 warrior/mage before finishing the game, but I played through it legit as a rogue. I never finished it with a glitched character.. I got to the tower both times and decided to restart and not use it again.

Why bother? Cheating always makes me loose interest in a game, sure it's fun for 30 seconds to be the most powerful thing around, but then bamm, total interest lost.

Nope, but I did use the console when I beat the game legitimately. I didn't feel like mucking around when all I was doing was making the same character but with a two handed weapon. Nothing really changed between the two playthroughs, but if it does... I'd play it legitimately, like if I chose a different race or class.

And I did hear of it, but never considered even using it. Don't like glitches, even if it's confirmed that it won't bite you in the ass later on.

I admit. I cheated on my very first playthrough. The game was advancing too slowly for me. I didn't bother about the glitch though, if you want to cheat, exploit, whatever, why not just use the console?

Unless you're on 360.

I tried it during one of my later playthroughs. I found it annoying as the enemies attacks and gear level up with you and you have pretty pathetic weapons and armour at the start so it made the early level near impossible.

I also tried another glitch. Here's the description from ign
A "sacrificial" stat is required -- one you don't need (for a Mage that would be Strength; for a Warrior or Rogue, Magic works). Head to the level up screen and put all of your points into the sacrificial stat and then hit Reset. Manually remove the points to the sacrificial stat. You should now have 6 points rather then the 3 you put in. Choose Next a few times and then choose Play to save the changes made. Repeat this process. When the stat turns negative the game will regard it as 0 but you will still be getting points for it.

Yes I used it to get the level 20 fighter achievement. It was my last one (before they decided to release DLC every other week). I had played a couple hundred hours of it and did everything I could find with the rogue and mage. And I just didn't have it in me for a third run. Especially with my most hated class. As soon as I hit 20 I turned it off and deleted the character.

What is this "use the console" you speak of?

How is that a spoiler? Isn't that the main antagonist of the game? I'm still gathering my forces, but I'm pretty sure I first heard of who you speak right after the origin story, basically after Duncan sent me into the forest with Alistair and the other two to get the vials.

I thought "it" got mentioned during the opening cutscene.

No, what's the point of playing a game where the only satisfaction comes playing to progress your skills, if you're just going to bypass the part where you actual play the game to do it? Might as well just use a save game file editor if you're going to suck that much.

Possibly. I'm a little foggy on it since I was mainly dicking around before I met up with King Cailan. Still, it's alluded to pretty early in the game.

And OT: No, I didn't even know that glitch existed. It doesn't matter though because I've been modding since the mid-point of Redcliffe. I'm not a big fan of the level system.

Console... as in enable it... as in, I press the corresponding key that I've assigned to use it... as in I played the PC Version... as in I can't stop with this schtick!

Seriously though, I just enabled console [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Console_%28video_game_CLI%29] on the PC's version then granted myself all the gold in the realm and experience that I wanted. Never liked god mode, however.

I dunno man, that was pretty suspenseful how That-Guy delivered that.

Used it after I'd completed a legit play through. Didn't want to cheat my first couple times through. After that though, mods and cheats for everyone!

I'll admit that I used the level glitch to get the level up achievement. I just didn't want to due a third playthrough as a rogue.
