I dream in colour, but not necessarily normal colours. Often the white balance will be off, or it'll be desaturated for a certain effect.
So you dream in Gears of War tone? :p
Never cared for the Negative highlighting effect so blood's highlights would be black instead of white.
But, since everything in that game is gray or brown, it really gives a push on rendering efficiency.

My most recent dreams are usually about steampunk and large bodies of deep water.
Hmmm...

Had a random dream that I had a foldable cardboard bag that when "opened up" turned into a Mustang GT. I then proceeded to foil the mafia in their attempts at random crime. These actions have yet to happen in real life. I'm silently optimistic. It was colour but in faded 70's style o_O
You have to have a CD player in it, blasting The Grand Conjuration.
Paper CD player playing paper CD's .. or rather Opeth coasters. Now thats an idea!

Really realistic dreams, like when I wake up I can't really remember if it was a dream or it actually happened. It's dissapointing when it was a dream because one time I got a Mercedes.

EDIT: Wait, people don't dream in color?

I dream in colour. My dreams have been getting very vivid lately. When I'm asleep and dreaming I completely think that I'm awake, and there have been times recently where I've had trouble remembering if certain things actually happened.

i remember a dream where i was hunting a vampire or some stuff like that, the place was some kind of plane white mansion, i tried to escape from one of his servants by a secret pasage, and i ended in some kind of really huge red decoraded wallway divided by lots of doors, and at the end, therewas some kind of small theatre.

i remember one where i was in some kind of... rusted place, frozen of fear because y had a huge ant and cochroach in front of me, even when they didnt moved, i also remember one dream where i was scared of something like, i just wanted to wake up, which i did.

and i really laughed about that recurrent chess dream and the cardboard mustang, (sorry)

Like there's some invisible force holding your limbs back? I get that in the dreams where I'm running from something.

I dream in color. I've only ever had one dream in black and white and it was about me being stuck in a really old cartoon so it wasn't really that surprising.

Reading through this thread I must say I'm surprised how many people have really bothersome dreams. The Bobby Fischer shitting on you one was ... well ...

My dreams are always very pleasant. Not always good but even when they're bad they're trippy enough and have the right atmosphere to be fun. I think the worst dream I've had in months was dreaming I was stuck between the walls of this building in the middle of nowhere. The floor was made of blocks of ice though, and under the ice was a huge bear which would jump up periodically to snatch at folk. The dream ended with me breaking through the walls, strolling very calmly outside, telling people there was a man eating bear underground, and then driving off on my non-existant motorcycle.

And that dream was fun! In dream I was thinking, "my god this stuff is ludacris!"

It might be though that because I'm slightly awake in dreams I don't get the full effect of nightmares. Like, if I'm ever fighting something, video game physics take over. And even if I lose the dream just resets to the last convineint save point. Hard to be afraid of the giant zombie corpse when this is the thrid time you've had to watch that bloody intro!

Since when did we describe dreams in the same way we describe televisions?

My dreams are usually in colour. However, I don't very often remember them. Earliest dream I remember having was one of some cartoony stars, wearing sunglasses, playing in a band.

My dreams have better resolution than the real world. They don't have taste or smell though. I know if dreamfood tastes or smells like unwashed arse, but I won't actually dream the flavour. It's like dreamtext from some adventure game popping up in the foreground, informing you that you have sampled the fruits of the dreamworld and found them wanting. Or informing me that my dreamself has died horribly in a humourous way, narrated by two floating heads, who then show a slow-mo of me tasting acid or walking through lasers.

People dream in black and white? Odd...

I've always dreamed in color. And my dreams have a tendancy to last for weeks. It's a day, but one night can last three days.

My dreams are like stories; they play out. Sometimes I don't know what's going to happen, and sometimes it's not plesant, but it plays out.

One of the oddest dreams in recent memory was one where I was flying (an exhillarating feel, let me tell ya, like a roller coaster, only ten times as fast and you can control where it's going) and I decided to see how far out I can fly. How far did I go? Let me explain it to you like this...

Have you ever seen Jupiter? I don't mean a picture or a CGI rendering: I mean actually being close to the real thing. No? Well let me tell ya; big doesn't even begin to describe it. When you're looking at earth, there's a point where you can turn around and see the whole thing, while still being close to earth. You can't do that with Jupiter. You have to be far away to see jupiter. Far enough away that you don't feel you're a part of everything teeming on the surface.

But once you've seen it, you can't help but feel that there's something much bigger than you.

...That's not a prime example of one of my dreams (they're usually scary and have to do with me screwing up irreversably) but it's one of the nicer ones.

Apologies Abound.

All the time in full colour baby! Although I did have one murder-mystery style dream once that had the film-noir washed out colour look.

My dreams are so vivid I sometimes have trouble distinguishing between what I've dreamt and what really happened. I kind of sucks at times.

I keep having Buffy type dreams.
Sometimes I'm fighting her and I die and wake up sweating or I'm Buffy and am being seduced by Spike which I really don't mind.

I never remember my dreams...but during the time between sleep and consciousness is when I get my most brilliant Ideas...the few dreams I do remember have been in color.
