It's funny that this thread should happen today. For, you see, If I weren't lazy I could've taken my test and gotten my licence today (in Florida you have to have your permit for 1 year)

Wow, coincidence, I think not... That's interesting, does that mean you can't get a full licence before then?

Only if you're underaged. Once you hit 18 you're free to take the test, and (assuming you pass) your licence

4 times (up until 1996) then give up. Because of my job, I have to drive now; its an essential requirement, so I'm doing one of those intensive courses soon. I love cars, and normally drive fine but on the test I just went to bits each time. The last time the examiner said:
"So are you coming to our xmas party then?"
