I think we, as a culture, need to get the hell over nudity. Oh My God Bodypart! just doesn't cut it. The body isn't dirty, or disgusting, or unnatural. It's just human, whether it's Radcliffe or Watson or Jack Black or you or I.

Nude scenes? More power to them. We just need to stop fetishising every inch of skin available, within the set parameters of media-deemed "Attractiveness" of course. God forbid people should expose skin that's outside the norm.
My issue is not nude scenes in general, but this is a CHILDRENS BOOK! Hollywood needs to stop sexualising my childhood!

Don't care, I'd just as soon watch an incest scene between the older siblings in the next Narnia movie.

I don't think Harry Potter's as cutting edge or adult as it purports to be, even at its darkest. Fans may want to scalp me for this, but from what I've seen (2 1/2 movies) it's a franchise happy to exist within the confines and cliches of standard wizard/witch/otherwise magic-using person parameters.

I think Valdemort's career is really gonna take off when his sex tape comes out, though.

Sorry, had to do it.

There's a difference between "children's book" in the sense of the early Potter novels and "Mid-teen" book as I'd describe the later ones. I've got no delusions about how much mid- and late-teens are curious about sex. In the context described by the book, and probably in the movie, there'll be very little to the scene. It'll be tastefully PG-13, M tops.

Uhm, as far as I can recall, voldemort has harry stripped after "killing" him, so yeah, I can see why there'd be a daniel radcliffe naked scene. Emma Watson though? That's just some dribbling 50 year old's pipedream. Hermione is never naked in the book, and children will be seeing the film, so no, I can't see it. The sheer volume of the wowser-brigade would be deafening.

It really bothers me when people ignore violence in favor of villifying nudity... I'm under no impression that a little violence is going to hurt your kid, but seeing a naked body DEFINITELY isn't going to hurt them. That's what bothers me, these books and movies are violent. And apart from a few parents who complained about the second movie being too scary for their toddlers, no one makes a stink about the violence.. but you mention that there MIGHT be some bare skin in the movie.. and oh my god won't someone please think of the motherfucking children..

To put it a different way... we all hope that one day our children will see a naked person, and have sex with them, and create grandchildren for us (at one point in our life or another).. But we all hope that our children never have to witness a horrible act of violence, or even see a dead body. But in media entertainment, bad guys dying is a regular thing, but naked people are not.

Umm...okay....

I really don't care. I think Harry "Pothead" should jump in a ditch and get brutally murdered by Voldemort. And Dumbledore, for the fun of it.

did they even do anything together in the books?

i don't want to see daniel radcliffe's love rug any more than he blatantly shows everyone in publicity pics

it's nauseatng!
the scene in the book doesn't involve any nudity, and it's more of a magical hallucination in Ron's head. It does involve a passionate kiss however, and the director seems to be taking dramatic license. I highly doubt it will be anything too offensive... and if it is, it's good for kids.

Actually its funny coz i have the paper in front of me now... only Daniel is getting naked according to this but they are not sure how to present it. I have seen him in the play naked and believe me, if they show him like that im gonna throw up. He awful naked... the 6th Harry Potter was crap although the 2nd was worse... But if they put this scene in, im gonna turn it off and throw the dvd out the window.

I really don't think it will be like the sex scene in Watchmen. More likely, it will be at worst, like the drawing scene from Titanic. How many little kids saw that? And how many people really cared? I doubt it will be even that explicit.

I haven't the faintest idea who this Daniel Radcliffe fellow is though.
Daniel Radcliffe is this fag who plays Harry Potter.

Intrestingly, I've never seen the damn film, but I know pratically everything that I would have known if I'd seen it. And it still sucks

I remember David Mitchell said "Oh, a Film about the Titanic. I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN!!! (\hammy surpised voice) Hmmm...two main characters. The woman's narrating, so she clearly survives. I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIM!!?!

I feel obligated to point out the the actors in question are still underage at this point if I'm not mistaken.
Emma Watson is 19.And Daniel Radcliff is 20.So i have no idea if that is underage in the country you live in.

To everyone saying it should be child friendly, I should point out that The Deathly Hollows is NOT in any way a children's book. It's dark and evil and "good guys" are killed FREQUENTLY. It has mature elements that go with the mature characters and it's stupid to try to leave them out.
