In my case, I wouldn't mind seeing Emma Watson naked... but not as Hermione... and it just doesn't fit with everything to suddenly sex up the series- with possibly to keep up with the Twilight movies and how much more sexed up they are.
We know that this can be done and kept at PG-13. Look at Titanic.
I think this is just the way of Hollywood. It wants to sell sex to girls and it does so successfully. Look at The Simpsons, even. Lisa asks J.K. Rowling what happens in the end and she replies "He grows up and marries you. Is that what you want to hear?" to which Lisa becomes dreamy-eyed and says "Yes!" with a sigh. This is what Hollywood know as their key demographic and this is what they are going to sell this stuff too. Bastardization of source material doesn't matter to them as long as they make big bucks.

I could say that this is a result of yet another female novelist working out her sexually frustrated fantasies such as the Twilight series, but I won't. It's not about that. It's about Hollywood trying to make that special 'money-shot' that the public want to see.

Please, Directors, if you're listening. Stop making movies from books. I implore you. Only if it is done on an indie or foreign film scale. Let The Right One In was a terrific movie in terms of narrative and filmography. The American remake is going to make me cry tears of blood. I beg of you.

Stop this rape and murder of our stories.

I have stopped seeing the Hp- Movies. I read all the book, but I had a felling that this might happen when the filmmakers realize that some people don't watch thee movies. no men in thier 30's or 40' are watching these movies (except dads). Throwing in a "sex"-scene will not make the movie better!I really think this is a feeble attempt to get more viewers. Even though I like Emma Watson, I don't really want to see Hermione naked... it seems more like fan slash-ficton. Also I don't remeber reading this in the books. I'll have to go and check...

No I couldn't find it...

No way the MPAA would let this stand. First of all, no there's not going to be nudity. Maybe, there might be some back nudity, but no butt cheeks. You might say that Twilight has been a big ruse to sell sex to kids, and though this may be true, the second a nipple pops out, you can bet your boots the MPAA will try to make it R or NC-17. They can rate a movie differently based on their own personal preference and there's no accountability whatsoever. If they think Harry Potter is more for kids and there a tit right in the middle of it, they will do everything in their power to ensure kids won't see it.

American society (and any authority figure) acts as though exposure to any sort of sexuality (no matter how insignificant) under the age of 18 is so damaging as to send people to jail for it. Just google the word sexting and you'll see what I mean. It's as if adults in this country don't know the internet exists, that kids have access to it, and look at porn willingly (or when I was younger, joyfully).

In the upcoming movie, Yates explains, a monster tortures Harry's friend Ron (Rupert Grint) with images of Harry in some sort of tryst with Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), with whom Ron is passionately in love.
Ah, that would be the locket scene. Alright, it's not mentioned their in the nude, but I'll let that slide

Yates adds, "There is another scene in King's Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked."
Yes, he is unclothed in that, fair enough

Behind the scenes shots show Harry slow dancing with Hermione, a scene that Yates told the Telegraph is one of his favorites, and which does not appear in the book.
Aaaaaaand now its fan-fiction :p

My issue is not nude scenes in general, but this is a CHILDRENS BOOK! Hollywood needs to stop sexualising my childhood!
There's a difference between "children's book" in the sense of the early Potter novels and "Mid-teen" book as I'd describe the later ones. I've got no delusions about how much mid- and late-teens are curious about sex. In the context described by the book, and probably in the movie, there'll be very little to the scene. It'll be tastefully PG-13, M tops.
Children will however want to see it, and most likely will get to. It is rather unnecessary in this story. Unnecessary sex scenes are never tasteful.

Emma Watson is quite pretty indeed, but for the love of god - in a Harry Potter movie?

Sorry If this has been said already but if you read the last book you would know that for about 10 different reasons that it is not happening.

I think we, as a culture, need to get the hell over nudity. Oh My God Bodypart! just doesn't cut it. The body isn't dirty, or disgusting, or unnatural. It's just human, whether it's Radcliffe or Watson or Jack Black or you or I.
Actually no, it is not. The body is a status symbol, and it is second only to money as one. It draws people to you, or it drives them away. If you have a deformity or are fat today, you might as well be a leper for all the good it will do to your social life. Completely getting over nudity would require us to be completely sexually liberated first, less judgemental on other people's appearances and accepting sex as a natural function free of any prejudice, which means we have adapted a different definition of "beauty". Well, that is not going to happen. The naked body is a taboo, because it means so much to so many people.

Nude scenes? More power to them. We just need to stop fetishising every inch of skin available, within the set parameters of media-deemed "Attractiveness" of course. God forbid people should expose skin that's outside the norm.
Based on the current state of mankind, we should get there in another...500 years... maybe a thousand years... Providing we're lucky.

I've never liked it, I got forced to watch a film and I have never read a book, so forgive me if I mess this up.

Isn't harry potter for kids? I know they released "special" books for adults so they wouldn't be embarrassed (can anybody notice the awful logic behind that?)but it started out for kids.

How can they possibly think that nudity is a good thing for a children's film?

I think its like that girl from high school musical putting pics of herself naked on the net.

I bet, like so many other films (hostel I am looking at you!), it will not add a thing to the film. If you took all the boobs out of Friday the 13th would the film be totally shot to hell (sorry for the pun)? If you took all the sex from hostel would the film be ruined? The only film you need sex and nudity in is porn.

If the only way you can get people to watch your film is with a bit of T&A then your not that great at making films.
You seem to be thinking Harry Potter is for small children, which it is not. It started out that way, yeah, but find me a 10 year old that enjoys Deathly Hallows and I'll eat my hat.

Not to mention you seem to bizarrely link nudity to porn. Crazy thought: maybe nudity can be tastefully done? Nah, it's obviously just an excuse for sum pr0n lawl.

I feel obligated to point out the the actors in question are still underage at this point if I'm not mistaken.
Technically, in the books, they are 17 by this point, and that's an adult in the wizarding world (MY god, how the hell do I know that??? I need to go play more video games).

Also, the actors are over 18.

EDIT: Wouldnt't the seeing Emma Watson. Could definately live without seeing Daniel Radcliffe

I really don't know what to think about this... because on one side, you have Emma Watson... who I find very attractive... being naked. And then I know a lot of girls who think the same for Radcliffe...

But when it comes to them being nude, together? and in the context of Harry Potter? It kind of feels more like an erotic fan-fiction writer took over writing the screenplay... or maybe this says something about David Yates.

In my case, I wouldn't mind seeing Emma Watson naked... but not as Hermione... and it just doesn't fit with everything to suddenly sex up the series- with possibly to keep up with the Twilight movies and how much more sexed up they are.

I just wonder if this will even work out? Or if it has? or what?
If it is already done... well then I look forward to Watson's tatas... I guess. But I think I'll leave feeling dirty.

What are your thoughts? Jesus. How will the die hard fans react? especially the fan fiction writers?!

EDIT: added the neutral poll answer
It's just a stupid rumor, we've all read the books and Hermione and Ron have a thing. It didn't happen in the books so why should it happen in the movie. Besides, these movies draw a lot of little kids and there is no way this is happening. Wrong genre. Wrong audience. Wrong book.
