Interestingly enough there was a court case in Ontario about this same thing. The woman was charged with, as you said, indecent exposure. She won the case and the law was changed, so now its not illegal here. People still prefer to where their shirts though, as it is part of the "norm of society" but a least they have the option.Labyrinth said:To do with the breasts on show thing, it pisses me off that women can't take their shirts off on a hot day, for example. It's illegal actually, indecent exposure. The thing is that if I was to go shirtless I wouldn't want everyone around going "Ohhh! Breasts!" I'd want them to treat it as no different to a guy taking his shirt off and strolling around ie. perfectly ordinary and acceptable.
So the fact that there were seven books has no bearing on the number of movies? I take it you don't watch James Bond ever. Granted, the don't care option needs to be there, but seven movies isn't pushing it at all for the fans of the series.Dark knifer said:Why is there no "I don't care" option? I gave up on harry potter a LONG time ago. Seven movies is kinda pushing it. People will be like "hey have you seen the new harry potter movie" and i'll reply "there is another one? Dear god..."
But in answer to your question I don't really care.
That's a pretty good point.Captain Blackout said:So the fact that there were seven books has no bearing on the number of movies? I take it you don't watch James Bond ever.
Baron Khaine said:To all the people who are saying that the Harry Potter movies are supposed to be Family Friendly, are you insane? The last book is a god damn bloodbath. If you've read the book, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I know a bunch of people who have let you get away with this, but I'm not going to be one of them!Octorok said:Watson is 19 and getting her kit off for a bunch of perving camera crews is probably a mistake. Although she is modeling these days, who knows, perhaps she'll go the whole hog and become a porn star.
Clearly, you haven't seen the films. They are far from childish. The first couple are more lighthearted, because they were more or less an introduction into the world in which this takes place, but beyond that--starting with The Prisoner of Azkaban they are in no way, shape, or form "childish." First of all, I highly doubt there is going to be graphic nudity; not because of the nature of the films, but because it would be out of place. It would be contrived. People seem incapable of viewing the franchise as a whole, which is how it is supposed to be viewed. It is an epic, fantasy saga, on par with The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which is told in seven installments (the seventh film being split into two doesn't count). The complex themes and intricate storylines, not to mention the philosophical and political ideologies and frequent use of metaphor and symbolism, transcend the boundaries of children's literature and cinema. The complete and utter stupidity displayed by most people who either claim to dislike the franchise (almost all of which have ever even read the books or seen the films) or those who are lukewarm movie goers is so overwhelming it's almost exhausting to even deal with. Most of you simply don't get it and never will. FACT: Anybody who thinks this is a children's series is completely and utterly insane and possesses the IQ of a rock. It's your loss, not mine; but don't expect to run your mouths and make comments and for others to not say anything, because people such as myself who have followed this incredible story since the very start will call you out on your bullshit every time. Count on it.Ryuk2 said:I don't like Harry Potter movies... actually i hate them. They are childish and instead of making any sense they just say ''Oh, it's magic, it can't make sense''. I'm always like, ''ooh..kay...why is there a fucking TROLL in the BATHROOM!''
As for Emma Watson, i liked her as a kid, but i don't like her now. There's something creepy about her face and i don't see why people like her.
BUT..i don't care really.
Why? It's not for them. Whether they see the finale of the series is up to their parents, but in no way should the film's integrity be compromised for a bunch of little brats.Jedamethis said:What about all the little kids who want to know how it ends? In other words, you didn't watch the movie.Jekken6 said:I thought the sixth movie was shit, because it seemed like they were trying to pander to the Twilight crowd. I have no intention of seeing the 7th movie if that is the direction they're going in.
I saw the first two and i didn't like them. They were not bad, they were just for different audiences.Balboa said:snip
8 Movies, actually. They are splitting the 7th book into 2 movies, which I guess is just WORSE...Dark knifer said:Why is there no "I don't care" option? I gave up on harry potter a LONG time ago. I doubt it all the same, on the grounds that it NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED IN THE BOOKS.internetzealot1 said:geldonyetich said:Well, okay, PG-13, then. Even so, you see where I'm coming from here? The Harry Potter series has always been considered a family friendly film, and nudity would be tough on American audiences, who are sensitive to that kind of thing.
My prediction: it'd be cut from the American version.
Yeaaaaa... no, I really doubt it.
