Almost new years eve and i was wondering if people set any goals for the upcoming year like stop smoking for example.
I myself dont really set a goal at this occasion cause i dont see the new year as a start to do things different but im curious what other people try to accomplish.

I never have set a resolution for New Year.
Mainly because I am too lazy to uphold them.

RESOLUTIONS.

Gotta love 'em.

I half-arsed my 2009 choices, but 2010's look to have slightly more favourable chances.
What are they? Why, that would be telling... but they mostly pertain to being a valuable member of my immediate societal group.

Not really. I'm the sort of person who doesn't set goals so to say, I just know what I have to do and go out and do it. Hence I don't really need a specific date to help me achieve this.

Yeah, I'm going to actively save a specific amount of money from each salary.

I've been living quite expensive this year, so I can cut down a bit and save for a car, education etc.

Never had a new year's resolution.

Never made any sense to me. Why the hell wouldn't I just start my new diet next week or today instead of putting it off until the new year?

Its just a way for people to procrastinate as long as possible while still sounding like they'll pull through on whatever it is they've set a goal for.

My point exactly but i do get why people want to delay it till the new year
I for one decided i needed to gain weight some months ago and i gained 10 kilo since then (fitness mostly, not pure fat shame on you), Would have been foolish to wait till new year

I'll finish In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust. I'm done with one wonderful part, many left. I had no idea reading could be this enjoyable.

I decided to quit WoW this weekend. I cite it as one of the key reasons for the breakdown in my marriage. Whatever happens in 2010 I have to make the next years a distinct improvement on the last 10.

More fitness. More real life. More promotions. More friends. I might even get out that book I've been working on..

I need to get a job.

Badly...

Losing some weight probably wouldn't hurt either.

I'd also like to get in enough time at the shooting range to make it so I can actually hit the broad side of a barn with my 9mm.

As I've been steadily putting on weight since high school a I decided (a month or two ago) to stop eating as much junk food and drinking soft drink so as to keep myself healthy. I've also started consciously trying to excersize more, though I've not really committed to that, it has more to do with my being bored than it being necissary or worth the effort. I see no benifet in making commitments at the end of the year, I'll stubbornly take a stance as I feel it needs to be taken.

Oh i am going to attempt to get my driver's license next year but that is because the roads are slippery now and i dont want to crash on my first lesson. It's my main goal for 2010 though
