yeah the escapist i can carry around in my pocket. Up to date game information and slightly faster informative updates well yeah but hopefully it would be compatible with my ipod too.
I know I'm way over my head here, but the iOS doesn't seem very reliable, either.RAKtheUndead said:I did start an "iPhone is highly flawed!" debate, twice in fact, and both times, I filled my criticisms of the iPhone with enough detail to demonstrate my knowledge of the smartphone market. The problem is that the popularity of the iPhone is going to hold back development of more free, more flexible operating systems such as Maemo (now MeeGo, a Nokia-developed Linux derivative with just about the most flexibility and biggest in-built feature base of any mobile operating system). Maemo comes with a variant of Firefox complete with a fully-comprehensive installation of Adobe Flash, thus rendering the idea of an application utterly irrelevant.stueymon said:Anyway, Like any console war, useless sniping and impotent outrage are pointless.
You want to start a "XXXXX sucks!!" debate? Go somewhere else please.
If we didn't have crippled operating systems like iOS calling the shots on what should get developed, the smartphone market would accelerate a lot quicker. I don't argue against the iPhone merely because it's popular - Android is popular, but I don't rail against that - but instead because the iPhone is both popular and contains an operating system which doesn't even contain fully-comprehensive pre-emptive multitasking, despite being a UNIX.
