Wait, you mean there are people out there that don't use the internet to buy everything these days?

If it's not food, everything gets bought on the net and paid by the card.

But I am thinking of buying a hat on the interwubs to avoid a six-hour round trip.
What type of hat? I wanna see more... interesting hats on this thread. Maybe I should start a hat thread on these forums somewhere.

I've bought most of my audio equipment off the internet, and a bunch of other stuff. I've found that it all works quite well, especially if you order from respectable sites like Amazon (for books and such) and Sweetwater (seriously, if you need audio stuff, order from them. They're much better than Musician's Friend in my experience)

I'd be more surprised if someone hasn't ordered something off of the internet at some point.

Things I've ordered/bought online, off of the top of my head:
*Games (Steam, Impulse)
*Food (specifically, pizza)
*Car Parts (eBay and retailers)
*Bicycle Parts
*Computer Parts (Newegg FTMFW)
*Music (both CDs and MP3s, via iTunes and Amazon)
*Books
*Hotel reservations
*Tickets (movie, travel, and concert)
*Even guns and ammunition (with the appropriate paperwork)

My preferred payment method is my debit card, with PayPal being my other preferred method. I've never had a problem with being ripped off or having my card info stolen.

Many things, ranging from DVD's of shows, to mugs.
Favourite payment method? Well if it's a secure site, then Credit Card's not a problem. If it's not secure, I'll just do direct deposit...
Haven't been scammed yet. I just make sure I'm using a trustworthy site, and that it's secure (if possible).

Does Steam count? If not, then I still ordered a couple of games a few years back from Amazon.

I have to; many comics are impossible to get sans Internet shopping where I live. (Southwest Sweden.)

Yes, I can't quite say how many things I've ordered on the internet. Various movies, games, CDs, books, posters, boots, ammunition, magazines, stocks, and a rifle. The only time I was ripped off was when I ordered Chakan: The Forever Man for Genesis, the guy never shipped it, didn't respond, and after a month I emailed Ebay about it. They promptly refunded my money plus shipping within 4 days. I usually just use a debit or credit card, paypal is preferred, but I have yet to be scammed by folks who use their own secure payment processing server. Generally online sales arrive within 14 business days, usually sooner. The only long waits I've had are when I ordered a Leningrad CD, DLYA MILLIONOVA, which shipped from St. Petersburg Russia, that took about 3 weeks. I also bought some boots and they shipped from Urkaine, those took about 3 weeks as well. If you're in the continental US, and order from the continental US they shouldn't take more than 7 business days.

Heaps of things. As you could guess, I love Peanuts and I figured out that it costs me roughly $6O AUS to order the books through Amazon and have them shipped over from America, compared to $120 for buying them in a bookstore here! I was amazed at how much I saved.

So? What did you guys order?
Yes, I've bought plenty of things off the internet, including the PC I'm typing this from (from pcspecialist.co.uk) and quite a few games, books and dvds (mostly from amazon.co.uk). There are plenty of times I would have bought other things off the internet as well, if I had the money.
