I dont throw controllers, if I ever rage I rarely throw something. But if its bad enough, I'll chuck a bottle or something else in my room.

Despite all of the screaming I've done while playing games, I've never thrown a controller. Every time I want to throw one I just remember how much it would cost to get another one and I calm down a little.

Gentlemen.

OT: ...I can control my controllers just fine, but I have thrown a few broken ones... on purpose... as a target for my 12 gauge...

Yes I have. Generally speaking on a bed, pillows, couch, something else soft. Though I did once throw it on the floor in the frustration of not being able to beat the boss in Dragon Quest 8 for PS2. I don't know how I was messing up so bad but I was and failed so many times, I eventually chucked it at the floor. Still works like a dream, but that is the only time I threw it in a rage.

I bounced one of these of my brother's head for pulling the trip cord plug out on me during a game so he could win.

To those not in the know, this is the "duke controller", which is about the same density as the original Xbox.

His thick head saved him any brain damage. And the controller survived.

No. If I throw it it will break. If it's broken then how do I play more games?

Though I have bitten into one, my arm and several nearby objects.

I have also punched sofas, walls, tables, floors, hearths and the controller.

As a kid I touchdown-spiked my NES controller in rage at the frustratingly punishing difficulty of Final Fantasy 1. Those NES controllers could handle it, which was good, since FF1 was mental. They don't even have magic points, just a maximum number of times you can cast spells! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, just thinking about it makes me want to smash my mouse!

I'm usually really good with my controllers and always have been until hard mode final boss on Viewtiful Joe. Got so freakin' angry I just chucked my controller straight into the ground. I didn't care if I broke it or not.

odd topic...

when I went from ps2 to ps3, I had the cord incorporated into how I held the controller. How I sat, and how that cord laid allowed me to let the controller drape over a knee, for example. When I went ps3, I unconsiously tried doing that, and kept dropping my (then) sixaxis wireless controller. I've grown wise to that by now. But then? I dropped my controller a lot.

Threw mah XBox controller. It bounced off the floor, hit a wall, bounced off that, and landed in a box. It broke.

I answer your question with one of my own. Ever tried to beat the last boss of God of War on god mode?

I was playing Dragon Age a few weeks ago, and I died. I went back to my autosave which was an hour lost. I threw my controller on the ground and hurt the L1 button. After throwing it again, the button started working again, so it all ended well.
