Well, if you sent Batman back in time, without any of his stuff, I bet within like a day he'll have built a era correct Batsuit with gadgets and everything.
I mean I love Ezio, but it's just a hands down batman win.
I was thinking, Batman and Ezio use very unique detective skills, stealth maneuvers, and skill to stalk enemies. So if you put Batman/Bruce Wayne Vs. Ezio Auditore da Firenze in multiple situations. Lets say we take away B-mans gadgets and put him in some proper clothes for Ezio's time, then switch it up for Ezio, in Gotham. This is pure Parkour, Stealth action to see who'll get the drop on who. What say you folks?
Take away Batman's gadgets and give someone who is willing to kill armaments and high explosives and you'll get some interesting issues. Admittedly the free-flow style of Arkham Asylum has me convinced Batman might be the better fighter and could hold his own, but if he doesn't have his gadgets his teeth are gone. Ezio on the other hand naturally possesses Eagle Vision, is much more athletically graceful and can get to a roof WITHOUT a grappling hook, and would have no qualms about giving the Joker a hidden blade face fuck.
I have to go with Ezio because his natural talents and resourcefulness make him more effective than a gadgetless Batman.
Many people are talking about removing batman's gadgets making him worthless, but let us not forget what Batman's original nick-name was... the World's Greatest Detective.
Sure Ezio might find Batman eventually, or by accident, but even without the gadgets, Bats would have Ezio's place, friends, and favorite places to take a dump found out in less time than Ezio could to even figure out WHAT the Batman is, let alone who, or where.
Both people get their information from people who know about the target, and in Italy, it would be much easier to find Ezio, than it would be the Batman in Gotham.

Actually batman has trained to perfect physical and mental condition. His gadgets only help him navigate the technological jungle that is Gotham city due to the advanced technology and magic in the DC universe. In a comic its shown that batman knows magical spells, but doesn't use them because "they are too unpredictable" while using the magic on a skeleton that is fighting superman. That is a very good reason, since it seems anyone can summon Etrigan, the DC devil, who tends to kill anyone who summons him. Batman also kills when its needed, and is a PERFECT marksman despite never training in firearms. Batman never misses in the comics.
Yeah yeah blah blah Marvel and DC heroes are all immaculate and all that. I'm basing my judgment on what i personally witnessed. It's been 20 years since i gave up on Batman comics so my only reliable view is based on the games and the last two movies. If Batman is capable of the same physical feats as Ezio, it wasn't implemented in Arkham Asylum and therefore I DON'T COUNT IT. Plus, he didn't look like he was trained to physical perfection when he was portrayed by Christian Bale and getting his ass chewed off by a dog. If he was trained to the absolute peak, you'd think he'd know to just aim for the muzzle and to turn off his fucking cowl visor before confronting The Joker.

So you toss out the entire continuity of DC while using mostly non-canon movies and games? Written by dumb shits to make a quick buck off of the lowering bar of movie quality? The only show that was written into canon was Batman Beyond. If that's the case then i don't count Ezio's abilities because it wasn't implemented in Assassin's creed 1.
Movies and games are not canon. The comics are. If you don't count things that are the actual canon source material then why should anyone count the assassin creed games?
Do you have any idea how long the fucking comic book canon has been going on? Depending on what you consider canon, Batman either retired when he was forced to use a gun to defend himself while having heart trouble or he's dead. Or do you count Batman's resurrection being written by dumb shits trying to make a quick buck off of the bar of comic quality that has almost always been one mile below sea level? Should i base the statistics off of Bruce's son or the original?
I based my stats on the Batman: Arkham Asylum game which was mostly faithful to the Batman canon. The only real way we could have gotten a coherent argument out of such a competition would have been to base it on a Batman canon that hasn't been going on for roughly 80 years.

That is due to the infinite worlds thing. I count pre-crisis and post-crisis to be canon. If it was pre-crisis batman, Ezio would die a bloody and hilarious death that was "accidental" like when batman strangled a giant using a lasso and a plane. If it was post crisis than Ezio would die a plain no-frills bloody death.
There are multiple batmans from different worlds, and only one Ezio.
This isn't a beat-em-up between Ezio and Batman. The question was who would do a better job in the other person's world? Would Batman be able to thrive in early 16th century Italy without his gadgets and can Ezio's skills let him survive in Batman's era?
I bet on Ezio because a lot of his skills are just that: Skills. Batman relies too heavily on his gadgets in my eyes and wouldn't do as well in a world where such gadgets are unavailable. Ezio just shows more natural skills in my eyes.
