Poll: Facebook?

so all of my friends, or just about have a Facebook but me. they keep saying i should get a Facebook, but i don't see the point of getting one.

i guess what i'm trying to say is, who has a Facebook and who dosent have one?

I've got a facebook. Around here, it's pretty much necessary if you want to plan anything or know when a party is going on.

I guess when all your friends live in the same town/area/whatever then it's not entirely necessary, but once people start flying the coop it's invaluable for staying in touch.

Yes, I mostly use it for talking with friends I don't meet much at school and trolling them (don't let my relatively mild-mannered demeanor fool you, I am a dick on Facebook).

I have a Facebook account. I set it up years ago, but I've only started using it recently. It means I don't have to waste money on texts or calling people.

I hate facebook now. I hate how everyone pretends to be really really nice to anyone they've ever met. It wasn't like this before! In the good old days you'd meet someone, then never see them again! Now you have to ask them how they are every week, wish them happy birthday and comment on their pointless statuses, e.g. "John Smith is goodnight everyone ^^". How does John fucking Smith get 50 comments for that?? Ahem. Don't get it, OP.

It's just an easy way to keep in touch with friends and interact with them in fun ways online. I have it, and I enjoy it. It's a lot better than the juvenile, egotistical 12-year olds that inhabit Myspace.

I use it to communicate with sort-of friends. The ones who are good enough friends to warrant communication, but not good enough to ask for their number. It also really helps me organize meeting people, and I met my boyfriend when I saw him on Facebook, we are now planning to live together when we raise enough money.

Facebook is good. Get it.

Its useful for communication to friends. Sometimes the funniest stories can occur from what people have posted on theres and it is one of the easiest ways to find out about parties.

I'm in basically the same situation. I'm the only person I know who doesn't have one. In fact our teacher once asked if we had facebook and I was the only one who didn't raise my hand. I guess I really don't see the point. I'm content without one, so why get one?
