you could probably set fallout Scotland in the present day, 'badum tish'Sun Flash said:No.
Fallout Scotland, on the other hand, more specifically Edinburgh...
But yeah, I'd like Fallout to explore another country's reaction, post war Britain was pretty cool culture-wise. Anywhere in Europe, actually...
That would be awesome! But I was thinking the Trafford Centre would be more Super Mutant territoryTheGhostOfSin said:Eh Trafford center would be OK, Manchester town center would be sweet though. Imagine The Arndale infested with ghouls and having to escape down market street and up the broke escalator to The food court only to be mauled by the deathclaws that live in what used to be Burger King..DaemonicShadow said:I was having a good think the other day. I live in Manchester, England, and I was in the Trafford Centre, a huge shopping centre. I was walking through the multi-storey car park, with the pillars and gloom, and I was thinking 'God, this would make a brilliant location for a Fallout game.
I know there are still a huge amount of places in the US that they could make a Fallout game, but, disregarding any canon for now, do you think it would work?
But it would add an even better stereo typical, monocle wearing, top hat jaunting, cane swinging posh bloke drinking tea!Disaster Button said:Wouldn't being set in England disrupt the Futuristic American 50s style of Fallout?
During the Cold War there were several shelters built which could have withstood a nuclear attack, I agree with the OP what's to say they wouldn't have had these in the parallel Fallout world as it follows our history up until it branches off.DaemonicShadow said:I did say disregarding any canon for now. Plus, how do we know there wasn't an English branch of Vault-tec, or perhaps they had a similar type of shelter?ghostracoon16 said:No, because there is no vaults in England.
Ah , but 28 weeks later proved that it would have a disappointing sequel.MulticolorCharizard said:28 days later proved that england can look really fucking cool in an apocalypse.
I think it could really work.
Um yeah, we tested a huge amount of nukes, just as much as the americans and the goverments and other organisations built nuke shelters so people would survive and yes the music would still be awful.ForgottenPr0digy said:No does England have any nuclear bombs, vaults and shitty 50s music???
I think not
I've thought that as well! I also thought it would make a god survival horror game. Or the interior of the Trafford Centre would make a good Dead Rising type gameDaemonicShadow said:I was having a good think the other day. This. The world of Fallout isn't suited for England. FO is American, set in America and deals entirely on what America does. Super Mutants? Created by Americans. Scorpians? Not in Britain. Mutated Rats? Already exist. Leaves us with ghouls. Not to mention we don't have guns in our population's hands.Random Name 4 said:A post apocalyptic game set in the ruins of Britain? Yes
A fallout game? No
