In terms of usefulness, Boone. In terms of awesomeness, Arcade. For non-humanoid, it's ED-E all the way. Rex doesn't even come close to being as useful as ED-E, plus Rex gets in my way all the time.

*edit* Seriously? I'm the only one to vote for Arcade? His personality is frickin' awesome, plus with his plasma defender he kills 90% of everything i encounter before i even have time to react. That, and i'd totally go gay for Zach Levi.

I liked Veronica best, with power amror and a ballistic fist she is insanely strong.
Also being able to use her as a portable workbench was rather handy.

Boone.

He might not be the most talkative, but he has an interesting story, and officially qualifies as a "Game Breaker" against everything that isn't a Deathclaw or the Legate.

Boone, no other companion has anything on boone. he is IMO the best companion who complements my sniping playing style by being a sniper himself so all we got to do is sit back and pick off the enemies from long range, also hes a complete bad ass.
He's not that badass, "hurr durr give me back my beret".

Ed-E, he doesn't annoy me he's loyal. He has yet to betray me and beacuse hes a robot he does his job more effectivly then humans can.

Actually, give him an Anti-Material Rifle and he can take down anything. He is hilariously broken.

I'd say Boone, Rex or ED-E.

(Also can't wait for Ulysses)
I don't think he will be a companion from what we know. Though that WOULD be awesome.
I just want that jacket.

Hes gunna be an enemy. The DLC's are building up to the final showdown with him at the great divide. since he was the one that turned down the job that got you shot in the face

OT: Boone. Need I say more?

Dean Domino from the Dead Money DLC.

He's just got a sense of style that I really appreciate.

My real problem with the companions in this game is there isn't a good "Evil" companion. No Jericho, no Clover, not even a Charon for good measure. Everyone that you can recruit either hates the legion or is just a goody goody.

My favorite skill/perk wise has to be a combo of Boone and ED-E, as the two of them together allow a sniper to basically own the whole universe from a million miles away.

I was fairly certain that Boone didn't have the Strength requirement to wield the Anti-Material Rifle, and that he'd just go back to his Trail Carbine/Varmint Rifle, or the Sniper/Gobi Campaign Rifle if avaliable.

I'd have to say Rose. I always liked her attitude. You know, the lets shoot the shit out of everything and drink attitude. Pretty awesome.

Oh, he uses it. With deadly efficiency. It is how I cleared out Quarry Junction my first playthrough.

While I usually said Boone, my current character was the bane of all freedom who started to massacre everyone who stood against the legion, and then casually slaughtered the legion as well. That ment that Boone was obviously going to be against me but after making him blow the head off the wrong person, he didn't stand a chance against my mighty fists which sent him flying over the side.

So I used ED-E for a while until some jerk shot him out of the sky, ending the relationship of my only friend. Reguardless, despite Boone being the most used he made the game too easy and I didn't like the fact he chased a legion soldier half way across the wasteland as I followed like a scared child. So Raul, Raul is my favourite.

There's alot of good characters in New Vegas. I happen to like ED-E's surveilance perk the best.

ED-E because it's not annoying. My second would be Boone because he has saved me from some of the tougher monsters more times than I can count.
