Hey don't forget that you get to see a whole 2 seconds of Ashley's hind quarters.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I blew my load the second I saw that.

:/

Garrus, I liked him, and the first time I played, the cutscene in the med clinic (where he joins you) made him awesome.

Of course Wrex has the most!
=D
I love that guy!
[er, Krogan]
His comments are the best and it's always good to have a giant hulk with super armor accompany you on missions.

Urdnot Wrex without a doubt. Hopefully his fate will make a good difference to ME2, I hope BW won't just give him one or two cameo appearances if you let him live.

Here's a question though: Was Wrex cooler than Canderous Ordo from KOTOR? (Obviously they fill out the same roles in each game)

It's just that John Cygan had a great voice for telling the mandalorian war stories. I still remember him saying something like "my feet crunched on the superheated sand as i stepped out of my dropship, the cool air engulfing me as I prepared for conflict".

On my original Xbox 360-version playthrough, I pretty much just kept Liara and Ashley in my party. I was also pretty crap at the game, I've realized.

For my second playthrough (PC-version) I realized that I might want to collect achievements, and played most of the game with Ashley and Garrus, hoping that I'd be able to get achievements for both... but that was not the case.

While playing through the Pinnacle Station missions I really came to appreciate Liara's biotics, though, and that's why I'm playing my third character as an Adept. Not sure what characters I really like the most, though, nor which ones will accompany me throughout the game this time around.

I'm surprised some people voted for Ashley.

She was a whining, racist, moron with an inferiority complex...

She'd fit right in on XBOX LIVE.
Yeah, I was never a big Ashley fan.
That's why she always died on Virmire.
It was her pre-mission descision on Virmire that caused me to choose her as the sacrificial lamb.

After reloading the previous save and having a word with Wrex again, obviously.
I find it odd that I never had Wrex get killed in the plot. I suppose I have a way with dangerous humanoid reptiles. I would go through and let him get shot by Ashley to see how it worked but... Fuck that, Wrex is awesome.
Indeed he is.

His awesomeness was sealed in my mind when Shepard asks him if he has any good stories and he replies completely deadpan:

'Well, there was the time my entire species was almost wiped out by the Turians, that was fun.'

The great thing about Mass Effect is I can pick two.

Garrus and Wrex, they have good in quest conversation with me and each other.

Jenkins. Leroy Jenkins.

It's no competition. He is the best character even though he had one of the shortest screen-time of the possible squad-mates.
Obvious trolling is obvious.

Wrex all the way.
Hey it just occured to me there that Jenkins was maybe a little in joke from the devs regarding the infamous Leeroy.

I wonder?
Leeroy Jenkins has become the name for red shirts everywhere.

I find it interesting all the different combination people ended up using, I was a generic soldier and I used Kaiden and Wrex, Kaiden could open doors, both he and wrex could biotics people and wrex could use heavier weapons like the shotgun.

I ended up leaving Ashley and bedding Liara, but if I could have chosen between her and Liara I would have killed Liara.

The reason I saved Kaiden and left Ashley was I felt it made a better drama to have my character's love interest die, I was into bittersweet endings at the time. I felt having to pick between the two girls while mourning Kaiden was a little offputing. This way in my game Sheppard distraught from Ashley's death finds comfort with Liara.(

I'm still early on in the game (don't feel like playing because I keep dying a lot), but so far, it's Kaidan. He's useful in battle, and seems like the most down to earth-character so far. He has his own pain, both physical and mental, but he keeps quiet about it and tries to deal with it on his own. He also his nose out of other people's problemsif he feels they need to do the same, or if it's just none of his business. He seemed kinda bland at first but he's one of the more likeable guys on the squad.
