Not that there's a problem with THIS type of Pony thread (Compared to the usual Pony Thread that comes up) It just happens almost as often as the "other" pony threads.

On an unrelated note, while looking for that picture I saw lots of random pictures including an icon of Stocking (From Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt)and various images such as a Pinkie Pie eating cereal like from that meme, a nope.avi Applejack and

Applejack. That one sounds edible.

Seriously, I don't watch that crap, and I have no idea why people on this forum do.
Because its good? Seriously there's over 430 users in the official group who'd agree with me.
*blink* ...Ok, just exactly how old are you? Because right now I'm convinced that a good 430-something of those users are either under the age of twelve, or have serious problems letting go of their young childhood.

Yea, might be a little hypocritical of me to judge a show I've never seen, but from what clips I've seen of it, it focuses on almost all female cast of unbearably cute ponies, of multiple bright rainbow colors with names like "sparkle" and "pinky pie". What kind of impression would you venture an person to logically draw about such a show?
Allow the show's creator, Lauren Faust, to rebut for me.

Logically, you would draw the impression that it is a terrible show for five year old girls, designed to get them to buy awful merchandise of colorful ponies, that forces rainbows and sunshine down the viewer's throat at all times, and that has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever...

...which is why it's so awesome that the show is actually good.

Well then you don't know the demographics for the Escapist then do you? I know of about twelve of those users who are under the age of 15.

So now cute is to be considered a bad thing then? That's news to me, but to answer your question, when presented with the now 480 members, you should draw the conclusion that they're doing something right and its "worthy" of your attention. Or you know, you can ignore it, or continue to post like you have been.

Rarity never gets the love she deserves. It's depressing.
She does considerably better when you can vote for as many as you want:

She's in my top 3 now! Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rarity. She's got some work to do if she wants to compete with Part of One and The Best Night Ever, though.

I didn't call Cute = Bad, I called an unbearable amount of it an indicator of a show probably meant for juveniles.

So...numbers = right? Just hop on the bandwagon?

Your comment about an all female cast is so incredibly sexist that I don't even know where to begin; what is it about women that would make a show about them inherently boring? I would be insane to not watch "Drew Carey's Improv-a-Gazna" simply because it features more female comedians than "Whose Line is it Anyway?" did.
Ok, what the h*** now. How was that sexist? Are the vast majority of the cast female ponies, yes or no? Does it always end every episode spouting ideals about "friendship" like every other kid's show for girls that came out throughout the eighties and nineties, yes or no?

Secondly,(rather off topic and beside the point) I've never even heard of Improv-a-Ganza. I didn't know Drew Carrey made another show after that Green Screen one.

2.) Next, what's wrong with colorful? Do you refuse to play Team Fortress 2 because its color spectrum extends past brown and grey? "Team Fortress 2 looks like a Pixar movie; what kind of impression would you venture an person to logically draw about such a game?"
Is World of Warcraft too cartoony, too juvenile for your tastes?
Mario frankly beneath your level of manliness?
Ok, when did I have an argument against color or the cartoony? I don't have a problem with colorful contrast and cartoon-ishness (if that's even a word). I do however, have the ability to realize what demographic something is geared towards -aesthetics be d*mned- and one that is towards little girls and their parents is usually something I try to stay away from, seeing as how I fit neither.

For the record, Barney and Friends is pretty colorful too, but I don't suppose you'd watch that without being tied to a chair.

K, this reply actually made me go watch an episode. It does seem a substantial bit better quality than the phalanx of horrible kids shows that came out when I was growing up, but I'd still have to commit septiku if anyone ever saw me watching it.

It's a completely different show now. I think this series is G4. Just a heads up.

What about TimeLord pony?
Dr. Whooves. And that would fall under "other". There are too many background and side characters to include them all in the poll, so I'd say limiting it to the main six is probably the best idea.

Unless you were a kid in October 2010, you're talking about a different show. Friendship is Magic is totally different and, strangely and distressingly, really good.

At no point did I claim numbers meant it was immediately right, all I said was that it should give you pause for thought.

RD=TS=AJ=PP>Scoot=Rarity>FS>Appleblossom

And if you don't agree with me you're an idiot, sorry, it's true

The four top ones all have different but equally likable traits, Scootaloo's hair, Rarity too, but a little jarring so they aren't in the top, Fluttershy's annoying but nothing beats Appleblossom's irritation factor, with little redemption.

This does not follow the teachings of the Ponies! All people are to be loved and tolerated, regardless of opinions. I am very disappointed to see one of the Herd has fallen from the true path.
