Combine Blink mkII with maxed agility and you're more versatile on rooftops than flippin' Spiderman.

This and Bend time maxed out for emergencies.

My first playthrough was a steath run that fell apart towards the end. Like many others I assume. The two missions was me just running through destroying dudes. I think the game doesn't mind you killing random goons as long as you then go for the non-lethal target option. Or is it that if people don't witness it or find bodies you don't get as much Chaos? Making the Shadow Kill a viable option in lethal, stealthy runs?

Still got the best ending though, the one for low chaos. Not sure if there's a true ending or anything but hey.

So Blink, I took a point in WIndblast and never used it, took Possession in the very last mission just to bypass a Wall of Light once and I was hoarding Runes to get Stop Time. Pretty awesome power to be fair. Almost as broken as Blink. I only got far in the stealth route because I was sitting in the rafters half the time.

Blink helped me so much in my stealth playthrough it's just unbelievable.I started only doing chokeholds after blinking near guards, because it goes so fast.

Bend time helped me quite a bit towards the end of the game.

Fully upgraded Blink with double jump....I was the ghostliest ghost in that game from then on. The only problem I had with Blink was the goddamn magic metre. I want that out of games. If a developer is going to give me magic powers, don't friggin' limit what I can do with it, especially if your going to make the blue potion as common as rats...

Blink. I haven't used any other spell except possession (Trying for a no kill run, so everything else is worthless for me.)

I just wish there were more utility spells, perhaps a short-term cloak, but slow time 2 probably works like one anyways.

I like Dark Vision, especially the upgraded version. Blink is useful, but whenever I can see where my enemy is going, things tend to go smoother.

Favorite spell? SPRINGRAZORS!!

Put em on a rat, on a dog, on a brick, on your mum, on DAMN NEAR ANYTHING and bloody, dismembering fun is guaranteed to be had by all! Nothing is quite as satisfying as watching a man or three literally fall to pieces before your eyes and with these beauties you too can turn manslaughter into fine art!

Blink up and stick one of the little bastards on some poor schmuck's back MGS style! Freeze time, delicately place one on a wall in front of that poor sod patrolling your way, give the wall a good hard "Talking to" with your sword, then back up and watch the fun! slap one down on a random piece of guff lying on the level (Heavier the better, I prefer bricks or bottles for that extra heft!) then huck it hard at a group of COMPLETELY INNOCENT BYST-er I mean those TOTALLY EVIL overseers! Just make sure you hit em in the head, I could listen to that CLANG sound their spooky face masks make when you bonk them hard enough all day!

...I could go on but I think you get my point.

For all you Blink lovers - did you know you can still use your powers/items even when carrying an uncounscious person or a corpse? Blink in, choke/stab someone, grab their limp body, blink out with the body.

I think chaos just doesn't give a shit if you kill assassins, or weepers because I don't know how many assassins I killed in that last mission.

Blink. Because:

*starts the game*
Well, this is nice....
just like Thief.... what's that, alternate dimension? *gets blink* HOLY HELL I'M THE MOTHERFUCKING NIGHTCRAWLER NOW!!!!

I'm having so much fun combining this spell with upgraded jumping to find my way, since i'm playing non lethal and it makes it a whole lot easier.

Bend time. There is nothing that makes you feel more badass than having six guards all slump to the ground from a crossbow bolt to the head once time returns to normal.

For simple versatility blink combined with agility is so useful and soooo much fun to use. Oh I quickly need to get down 4 floors via these stairs *yawn* I'll just blink down and land safely at the bottom.

Blink without a doubt for me.
Yesterday I was just running around experimenting with it on the masquerade mission, and I thought "Hey, I wonder if I can backstab that Tallboy?". So I blinked in right behind him and shoved my sword through his chest, and then time slowed down a bit allowing me too take aim for the second Tallboy ahead off me. I did the same with him then blinked back to the top of the fence that I started on, needless to say I felt pretty damn awesome after I killed two of the (supposedly) most dangerous enemies without touching the ground.

As much fun and games Blink spell is, Possession literally ables you to control a guy and move him down into a pit full of hungry hungry Hip- Hagfish.

Check mate, Blink lovers.

Yeah I agree with the assassins not counting, I was destroying them left and right through that entire section and I believe I got low Chaos. I did spare their leader though because i'm horribly indecisive on those things. Except the party mission, god. The non-lethal option was worse than death in my opinion... I just imagine she'd be tied up in some creepy stalker's basement with a shrine being built around her and shit. Maybe it's my overactive imagination but that was definitely the vibe I was getting.

Oh and I managed to outsmart the game on how to kill the target in that mission! I knocked her out and tried to drown her in the bathtub so it looked like an accident (that's really fucked up but roll with it ok?) Nope, game didn't like it. Had to stab her in the face instead. Much less interesting.

Unless I had to put a plug in the bath so it filled. Terrible oversight on my part if so. If that's the case then fucking hell... Ruined. Just ruined!

Unsure about Weepers though, maybe they count since they're civilians but I just used the tried and true method of Blinking through their slow asses to be safe.

I chose blink, but slow/freeze time is a very close second. I loved the first time I used slow time, there were a group of guards in front of me, I slowed time, ran up to them and slit all of their throats. I felt like I was in the matrix lobby scene with all the slow mo stuff.

Chaos is evaluated upon how many kills you've made and how many times you were detected. Your kill count includes every living creature save for rats. I don't know if River Krust count because I haven't bothered actually fighting one of those. But that includes Weepers and Assassins. That even includes the watch hounds walking with Overseers.

I think Blink has to be my favorite spell. Combined with Agility so I can explore the area much more effectively. I bought a all the other spells but I never actually use them.

If the creature or person you're currently possessing dies, you die as well.

Checkmate, Posession lovers.

Blink ruined the game.

I got through the game with no kills quite easily because you can easily avoid ever being seen.

And Mana regenerates when not double used....The game was far too easy.

I enjoyed sending a horde of ravenous rodents to devour people. There are better deaths than being eaten by rats.

Being possessed by an assassin with superpowers who stopped time in order to get you shot in the head by your friend's bullet is not one of them. I enjoyed doing that as well.

I don't think Blink should be on the poll. The question should be "What's your favorite spell OTHER THEN Blink?" Because let's face it...Blink is fucking awesome.

Keeping this in mind, I voted Devouring Swarm. I tend to get myself in deep shit....quite a lot. Summoning an enormous swarm of rats to distract multiple enemies will I stab the shit out of them (or escape) is pretty damn handy. And great for killing targets if you don't want to leave a body.

PS: Christ, looks like I'm gonna have to upgrade that agility now. Sounds awesome.

Possession
just to be different

though as expensive as it is, I don't use it much, but it's the best backup ever. Why won't that dude move, I need to turn off that zap-fence-thingy! Oh wait, I can make him move. And turn the thingy off. And then vomit. And then choke him right after coming out of his butt or whatever.

... yeah, and then Blink all over the place, cuz it's cool^^
