I don't mind hard alcohols, but beer and wine are my favorites. There cheaper and easier to get ahold of for an underage person like me. Speaking of that... I'm 20 fucking years old. I'm a huge person, I'm more mature than most people who are 21, not to mention I can hold my liquor and stay in control of myself better too. Being allowed to drink should not depend on age, is what I'm saying. Tired of being the only person staying home when my friends all go to pubs.
I will drink any kind of beer as long as its VERY cold. But str8 Vodka with a few cubes of ice is my fav.
Anything except beer. Depends on my mood, if I fancy feeling posh I'll polish off a bottle or two of Wine, if I want to get drunk fast I'll mix spirits, if I'm casually and slowly getting drunk I'll have me some Cider.
I don't mind alocopops, but I feel like a naughty 12yo when I drink them. They're they sort of thing I'll drink if someone else buys for me or give me one.

I have started drinking JD and coke too, but I find it's better to feel like you're definitely drinking alcohol when you're getting pissed. It really fucks with my head after a certain point if I'm not.
Yeah, the drinking age in America is pretty silly. You can vote, serve in the armed forces, get married, you name it. But have a beer? Can't trust you with that. It got hiked back in the 80s in response to well intentioned anti-drunk driving campaigns. And you know what they say about good intentions paving roads...
Me, I just got into homebrewing. It's not that hard, and the stuff you can make is surprisingly good, especially if you stick with basic ales like ESBs and stouts (harder to get the right malt/hop balance with weaker beers).
BTW, I think it's time to retire the tired old "no good beer in America" line. Things have changed a lot in the last couple of decades. In my city alone (San Diego), we've got over twenty microbreweries (I'm particular fond of Stone Brewing: try their Arrogant Bastard ale). Yeah, there's still a lot of watery "pilsners" (which have little to do with real pilsners), but at least out here, almost every liquor store is going to have a pretty decent selection of home grown malty goodness.

It varies wildly with me, so I've refrained from voting in the poll.

I'm a big fan of Blue Moon and of Belgians in general.

Lastly, we've got a ton of good local breweries here in NC, so local beers are always a great way to help out friends and neighbors.

Beer mostly but I enjoy all kinds of hard liquor too. I mostly drink beer because it is cheaper.

Alcohol is an acquired taste that I simply never bothered to acquire. It tasted like crap when I was a kid, it tastes like crap now.
I'm already less intelligent than I would like to be, and far more abrasive than I probably ought to be. Why would I deliberately become dumber and blunter?
People speak of alcohol as a social lubricant. I dispute this. I am not a social butterfly. I am more like a social dead mackerel: motionless, cold, empty-eyed, slack-jawed, and smelling just slightly off. Ain't no amount of alcohol going to fix that.
I find drunks EXTREMELY obnoxious, regardless of their mood. If you drink you will be around drunks. Not all the time, maybe, but too often for my taste.
My dad was a drunk. My father -- since he recovered several years ago -- is the man I respect most in the world. I watched alcohol turn him into a playground bully, someone I could only fear. Baaaaaad memories. I'm not going to preach at y'all. I just feel like if I were to drink I would probably end up like him, which would mean I had learned nothing from watching him.

I can't drink Spiced Rum straight, otherwise my legs like to become jelly. But with coke, it gets me drunk quickly and efficiently.
