I have a bad feeling it will happen eventually but I don't want it to happen. Let the old horse die already please, she's been through enough punishment. The game should just be left alone, it's endured enough already.
I don't know why people are obessed with a remake anyways, just go back and play the original game. Yea it may not be the prettiest looking thing but that shouldn't stop you from still enjoying the story and gameplay.

EDIT: By a remake I mean that I want everything, and I mean EVERYTHING even the typos, intact. Just with some better graphics. If they do make a remake, they better not fuck it up.

I remember when this rumor first started circulating. It turned out to just be part of the ending to Crisis Core
Yea true, but as far as the whole FF7 anthology goes, Crisis Core is the only good thing to come of it. Personally the only way I'd accept a remake of FF7 is if it was on a handheld and sported KH/Crisis Core visuals. They just seem to fit the game better for me as it has a lot more character to it. Advent Children graphics are awesome and all, but I just can't help but always picture the old FF games being remade with the more vibrant art style. That and the old FF games just feel like they are better off being left to be remade (if you were to remake them I guess) for the handhelds. But that's just me, it feels better.lordlee said:

The rumour's been around so long so they might get around to it eventually, but personally I'd prefer a remake of VIII. Or even just a PSN game of Triple Triad.
the most recent rumor came from a scan from famitsu magazine's next issue, it had a picture of a CG Cloud with pictures from the original game and the movie, but it was just about how Cloud won some sort of popularity contest like most popular character in the last decade, or something like that

Given all the spin-offs this games has, it wouldn't surprise me. However, they could do a lot better and oh, say, remake 9 for the current gen of consoles. I want to replay that game sooo bad.
