Poll: Flat pop

Anyone else like flat pop? I personally hate the fizz, IMO gets in the way of the sugary goodness and replaces it with an unpleasant burning sensation. I'll spend upwards of 10 minutes shaking a bottle and slowly releasing the fizz then drink it fizzy.

I don't like it completely flat but I do let some of the carbonation out just so it's drinkable without burning my throat.

Flat coke/pepsi thats left in the fridge to go ice cold, thats the best for me.

I don't particularly see the point of flat cola.

If I wanted something flat and sugary, there's like, thousands of drinks out there where I don't need to "let the air out."

I don't prefer it, but if I start drinking a soda and find out that it's gone flat, I'll finish it off and enjoy it.

Flat pop is on a par with a flat rollercoaster for me, the main point of it's existence is gone.

If a bottle doesn't go 'tssst' when I open it, it's going down the toilet, even if I don't have any more. I'd rather drink water than stale, old soda.

As long as it's cold, it's okay for me. And usually I do release a little of the carbonation too, increases the flavor.

It's depend on my mood. Sometime I prefer the normal fizzy soda while other time I'm not in the mood for having a fizzy soda so I just get a flat one instead.

Nah, when I have soda I got to have the fizzies. Having it flat just feels wrong when I drink it.

I like it best when it's been sitting in the fridge for a day and it still has its fizz, but not enough fizz to feel like its burning in my mouth.

I like Mtn Dew best when it has become flat. But flat Coke is just disgusting.

Completely flat doesn't work, but de-fizzed a little to minimize "backlash" is perfectly fine.

it's just about drinkable if it's a tad flat but once it's gone flat it goes down the drain. apparently flat Coke is great for unclogging drains

Nope, the flavour just doesn't work flat. If it's gone flat, I'd rather tip it than drink it.

As a side note, I was going to complain about Americans calling all fizzy drinks soda, but then I realised we Brits don't have an equivalent. We have "fizzy drinks" and "pop" (the latter of which nobody says). We should start saying soda too.
