Well they will just continue the francise with the same characters with slightly altered names and appearences.

Captain Prince?
And he shall talk quietly and walk around in bright purple outfits.

However back on topic of course they will carry on as Greyfox says

IW is just a shell, it is the people that made it what it is that is important.
I hope the people who are quiting go to Respawn Studios. I know I would.
That way IW lives on under a new name...
But chances are, Activision will just fill the gaps with new blood.
A lot of gamers know IW make good games, but they may not know that the staff is leaving, so they would still buy anything with 'Infinity Ward' printed on it.
It will be after Modern Warfare 3 before most of the gamers who bought Modern Warfare 2 know what the hell happened to their beloved studio.

This lends more and more credence to Activision's argument against the original duo that they engineered something.

I mean things seem to be moving way too fast.
Coincidentally, it also gives the theory that Activision and Bobby Kotick are a bunch a fucking assholes some credibility.

I hope they'll end, they had a good run with... well... Call of Duty 2 and 4. They got a large amount of sales from MW2. I guess that's all they can hope for - they'll go on to other companies and work for them, I would assume...

The studio will almost certainly carry on in name only, but without the people that made it so, it'll no longer truely be Infinity Ward.
Can't say it any better then that.

Kinda sad for IW though. Its in the name damnit!

How many are left? Because Nadeo managed to make the best racing game ever with only 18 people...
I have no idea. I bet that a lot of people are left, however, most of the people gone are from the times of Call Of Duty 2 so the studio is losing its main players.
I think Roycewicz is still there but that's about it.
Clearly it is up to the fans to save Roycewicz from the clutches of the evil Activision, plus if CoD4 is anything like real life we will get 15 gamer points for doing so.

Haha.
That's actually pretty funny.

Like it needs any more credibility.

I thought that Mario Kart was made by Nintendo.

Eh, Blur is better than that anyways.
And he is referring to Trackmania, just to clarify.

Meh, I hate racing games that try to imitate street racing or real cars, but I'm guessing the sarcasm didn't make it across the interwebs.

Meh, that was sarcasm in return and a little dose of clarification.

You clearly haven't played the best racing game ever.
You've played the third best, but sorry.

I am going to be honest.

I would like to side with IW but looking at this objectively it looks more and more like Activision simply moved to try and protect what is (currently) its biggest asset from some scheming bastards. While MW2 was a massive let-down to me and I am sure that it was made to capitilise on popularity, and this is probably down to Activision more that IW, it is unsuprising that they did this as IW have yet to show any evidence that they could develop something new and brilliantly original so it makes sense to get them to make the most of how popular the only thing that they have really done is before letting them start a wholly new project (if IW even really wanted to). Plus IW have never had to take a risk. It has always been Activisions cash that they are spending and IW has always been given massive budgets to make their games, I am not atall shocked that Activision want to keep hold of this so the unpaid royalties story makes no sense wheras the contracted employee's leaving to make (even) more cash does.

Currently it's at the level of evolution, I'm aiming for gravity.

Edit: Or is it Activion that's aiming for that? LOL! Zing!

Considering I never had any interest in the whole CoD4:MW1/2 I honestly dont care (and I refuse to say MW2 because that means MechWarrior 2, a fun and good game, not another 'realism' game thats about as realistic as a brick flying around the world on sheer will alone).
