Poll: FPS Toilet Trouble

Ok, just posted in LockHeart's "Biggest Shock in a Game" thread - mine's Doom 3 - that moment in the bathroom...

So it got me thinking. Fallout 3 is the most recent game in which I systematically raided every toilet in a 40km(?) square radius. Indeed, the scope of my bathroom exploration was extensively epic.

I believe that this habit began in Duke Nukem 3D - my musclebound, gun totting, bubblegum chewing protagonist had no qualms with kicking down stall doors in the search of pick-ups. I believe Deus Ex even hid a switch in the bogs.

So am I alone in my quest to uncover the hidden rewards of the World of W.C., or (please God let it be so) can anyone else admit to being a bog raider?

But then again, I look in pretty much every nook and cranny I can find, all I'm waiting for is for games to allow cavity searches on corpses...

I sometimes enjoy going in to the stalls. The most recent game I went there was GTA4, after the mission in which they show you the restroom. I went there just to shotgun down the dorr and put a bullet in his head while the scared sod was crapping himself (bad pun, I know).

I remember some kind of FPS where I was searching in random cubicles and then I found a really hard monster just waiting there for me. It scared me and now I always check for feet in the gap beneath!

well yes actually you find powerups in toilets you even find vials of liquid in them (and the hero(ine) never wonders where a yellow vial found in a toilet comes from...)

I must say I was quite disappointed with the stall > loot ratio in Fallout 3. Come to think of it I don't think I found anything more useful that a bottle of whiskey in the pisser (Also British ^^)

As for killing people in the toilet, Hitman: Blood Money springs to mind - some poor sod taking a leak.

The only game I've played with toilets was Fallout 3, although I did have some really great moments in bathrooms. Once I was in the Museum of History and was raiding a bathroom with a combat shotgun out when I saw a stinpak on the ground. I instantly crouched and attempted to pick the stinpak up. Then I looked to my right and saw a Feral Ghoul in front of the urinals. That thing scared the crap out of me. Fun times.
