I'd rather watch something original than a remake of an older film; a bit of originality never did any wrong.

And I heard that they're remaking Nightmare On Elm's Street...

Either a remake of the thing or someone finally makes a crack at one of Lovecrafts stories and get's it right this time.

Is it just me or is Friday the 13th missing from the poll :p? Anyways, I'd vote for Friday the 13th, but this time make sure it has a like $10,000 budget (no more of this Jason X crap, we want CHEESE!).
Why would it be in the poll? This whole topic was supposed to be about the NEW Friday the 13th movie. Why would they remake a movie they are already remaking?

To answer which horror movie should be remade:I dunno, something that isn't an american horror filled with Bad actors, Cliché's, poor atmosphere and westernization.

To answer the question: This movie will have poor reviews, scare 13 years old, scare people with little horror experience, scare those Doom 3 "fan"atics, have poor quality, another Hollywood failed project, etc etc etc...

If you feel offended by this list, I can honestly say this. Except for the doom 3 fans and the exception in the 13 years old category, this will probably happen.

Freaking awesome looking slasher + A Machette + Agility x Plenty of White People to Murder = AWESOME
Okay I didn't catch the 'white people' thing the first time. All i can say to that is "the hell?"
I hope I didn't offend anyone with that statement. If I did, i'm sorry...

Remakes rarely work out, shame though, I hope this movie doesn't destroy its predecessor's reputation.

Actually it would have been more accurate to say "stupid white teens drinking, doing drugs and having premarital sex".

Ghostbusters wasn't really a horror movie...not that the beginning with that crazy ghost ***** didn't scare me as a kid...

A Nightmare on Elm Street. After seeing Freddy rip off someone's nose with his claws in Freddy vs Jason, I've never been the same.

In terms of gore, original concept and just awesomity (yeah) I'd pick Freddy Krueger.

Have you seen From Beyond, The Beyond or Dagon?

I think they're were pretty good cracks at Lovecraft stories considering the genre and time they were made.

One of the best 'Lovecraftian' films I've seen is John Carpenter's 'In The Mouth of Madness'. Even though it's not based on anything by H.P. Lovecraft it's still very 'Lovecraftian', especially the ending.

Because I want to see it come back? The poll was "What classic horror movie would you wanna see make a comeback?", and I think another Friday the 13th could be awesome... with enough cheese.

I guess I'm splitting hairs, but it didn't say "What other class horror...", just "What classic horror...". Just the way I read the poll, I guess.
