I tend to befriend people who add me to their lists, even if they aren't people I've talked to before.
Most of the time, though, the people on my friends list are people I've actually started talking to and enjoyed spending time with; or people who have been in some awesome discussions with me

I haven't added anyone here because I haven't really had the chance to get to know anyone that well. I only add people as friends after I've had a conversation with them or else I feel creepy...
