I suppose it is inevitable that someone like me would make this topic, or someone already had, but I figured may as well. What is your opinion on the furry fandom?

Let me state that if you hate the fandom I don't blame you because frankly, despite and indeed sometimes because I am one, I hate the fandom myself because there are plenty of horribly retarded things about it just like any subculture, I.E. some of the terminology. I personally hate using the word "Fursona" to describe my anthropomorphic alter ego.

Actually I've found that there are more than you would think who don't really care for the sexual aspect of it, though those who are do tend to be the most vocal. Course I'd be lying if I said I didn't indulge in more than a few perverse drawings.

I think what repulses me about furries is the fact they cry for attention anywhere they go, making a point to announce to everyone about their lifestyle choice, and then act shocked whenever people tell them to shut up.

There's also the crazy acceptance of repulsive sexual fetishes that comes linked to the fandom, pedophilia, bestiality, snuff, the list goes on. It's like they're a group of nymphomaniacal drama queens, and that's just a bad combination.

Even if I do find the fandom a little odd I won't make fun or ridicule. They have a right to support what they like or be what they like. As long as no one is physically hurt I don't see the harm in it.

Just as not everyone in the anime fandom likes lolicon or monster porn, not everyone in the furry fandom likes cub porn or bestiality. Can't really judge a group that large as a whole based on what a select number like.

I am one and I understand ya dude. There are just things within the fandom that annoy me, and hell, its mainly the other people! I cant count the number of times I seen trolls (poor and the terrible ones mind you) actually get a victory off of them. Furries are extremely easy to troll, hell, I do it sometimes too, and not even on purpose! They just take shit out of context and think your pissing on them. The ones I met are actually pretty cool, as I known them for a while, but some others that *****, ***** *****, kinda like what I am doing now eh? lol

I dont mind them, I love fursuits (hugs are so soft!) but... some people are just easy targets! lol
