LOL...LOL...Ok, Ok, I am better now. Hey, what ever floats your boat man. As long as you are not hurting anyone else or forcing your hobby on unwilling participants, then who the hell am I to judge. By the way, CSI:Las Vegas has a great episode based on the furry culture. Definitely worth checking out.
The furries greatest enemy.... CSI
They are always crying about that episode

Well wouldn't you if CSI decided to say, Start saying that all gamers are fat heaps who do nothing but sit on the computer and murder people.

Note that they say people, not digital people. It would suck if your favourite hobby was insulted and associated with freaks and psychos on national tv.
Like gaming in Germany...

Okay, here we go again.
From what I gather, your saying that furries should accept they are now seen as filth from the rest of the internet. Thats like saying that because I play games I should accept that I'm a fat, deppresed, socially awkward waste of space. Just because there is one group of people, who take being a furry to the extreme (which is disgusting, and seriously messed up) dosen't mean all furries are sex crazied loonies.
Um... that isn't what I was saying at all. I was saying that the furry fandom is not mainstream, and it is definitely not normal, and people shouldn't expect others to automatically treat it as normal. It's like if you went up to someone and mentioned that you like to wear women's panties and be tied up and spanked. Nothng wrong with what you do in your private life, but don't expect people to be comfortable or fine with you talking about it all the time.

Yes, there are furries who aren't into it for the porn. However, they are very much the minority. The furry fandom grew up around a fetish, and a fetish it remains. Like I've already mentioned; take anime fans. The majority of the fandom there aren't in it for the porn. Yes, we've got hentai, but that's a sideline of the subculture. With furries, the non-porn is the sideline - I'd estimate that 90% of furry art is porn.

So. What I'm saying is not that 'furries should accept they are now seen as filth from the rest of the internet', but that they should stop yapping about their fetish all the god-damn time and give people a chance to calm down about it. Think about it this way: you know kids, right? When they want something, they never shut up about it. 'Daddy, now can I go on the playstation?', 'How about now?', 'Daddy, you said I could go on the playstation later,', etc etc until you end up just snapping and telling them they can't go on it at all. This is like furries. They do so much clamouring to be accepted that people have just gotten fed up and said 'no, fuck off.' If they'd stop moaning about fursecution then people would leave them alone. As it is, they're too easy to troll, and their reaction to the trolls gets everybody else riled up at them.

Hentai is more or less accepted, mainly because nobody ever tried to crusade for its acceptance. Everybody always accepted that hentai was a bit wierd, and everybody still does, even the die-hard fans (is fans the right word here?). Every other porn-based fandom knows it's out on the wierd fringes, but only furries try to force themselves into the mainstream.

tl;dr: it disgusts a lot of people, and if furries would stop trying to make them say it was alright and acceptable then those people would happily pay no attention.

EDIT: no, Furry is not a hobby of mine, its just fetish porn, nothing more.
Well.... If you have two or more braincells you would understand that it is fucking TV! If you use TV as the base of your judgements you are stupid.
Plus they did not mock furries in that episode. All they did was cover about people in fursuits.

I know a girl who is a furry. In a word shes insane but that was hardly the fault of the furry mind invasion and more the result of years of just being deprived. So I guess I can hardly blame the furry fandom for my insane friend and I guess that makes me indifferent.

I don't get that at all.

I hate the furries that are extremely delusional. They're fun to troll though, and easy. I can deal with the normal ones, that is the ones that are not retards/ do not post their porn everywhere, thinking that everybody will enjoy it. That pisses me off to no end. Anyways, I voted for "I like the art and the people, but I wouldn't consider myself one", in that I don't hate them, I like some anthro art, as long as it it's original and has nothing at all to do with Sonic. Or Spyro. Fanart in general.

EDIT:

Well you assumed wrong mate. Because it wasn't aimed at you. I just hijacked your post a little in order to get my point across to all the readers who might be flaming all the furries.

That's all. : )
Then I have in deed misinterpretated. Doesn't change the matter though ;) But meh, people are immediatly defensive when something 'weird' comes along. Now that everyone is used to BSDM they jump to the next thing. Wich is the furry fandom. It'll pass eventually. Doesn't take away (most) people are a little narrowminded and only want to see the 'wrong' side of things, instead of actually learning what it is and see for themselves we don't eat people's baby's.

Furries may be strange, but I don't see the point in judging them like they are some sort of lepers. I would like to think that we live in a world of tolerance.

Another good point. All fursuiters should burn. They're like lepers but shouldn't be regarded as human beings.

Actually, you're quite the oposite of what Proteus wrote. Why is it so bad to run around in a costume. Whatever floats your boat right? But then again, im trying to change the general opinion. Not gonna work cause everyone is stuck in his / her own believes anyway. Once set as a certain type you never get rid of it. So yeah we can whine and talk constantly about respect and acceptance / tolerance but noone is going to change their ways anyway. (Myself in cluded here. ;) )

I will judge them until they stop making sexual images of my favourite childhood cartoons and then using some kind of Jesus persecution defence.

I'm not one, but everyone's into their own freaky stuff, am I right? We've all got weird things, so I'll just leave you be. Now, if you started bothering me trying to get me to be one, then you've started something you wish you would have never started.

That was the point. I just think that fursuiting is the most terrifying thing in the world.

Personally, I find it quite creepy, but I suppose many people would find me quite creepy, so I shouldn't be too judgmental just for that.

There's far too much rule 34 furry stuff for me to be fully comforable with their existance. Whether the ones making it are the exception or the rule I'm not 100% sure.

The only furry I know of in really life thinks all humans should be furries, votes BNP and tries to use obscure facts about animals to justify making an arse of himself, so my opinions may have become slightly prejidiced because of this.

This is a perfect example of why so many people hate furries. There are too many that act this way.

Let 'em do what they want so long as they're not doing it in the street where it could scare the horses. I don't understand it and I'm vaguely uneasy about its occasional intrusion into media I would otherwise feel no qualms about enjoying, but I can't get up enough disgust to be actively antagonistic.
